Everyone stares at the 370z

I've come to the realization that everyone stares at the z on the streets! I didn't think it would be like this. Of course I like it but at the same time it's uncomfortable at time when you just wanna go get a gallon of milk in peace.

kenchan 02-12-2013 10:47 AM

you sure it's not a big wart on your forehead or something?

(seriously though, it IS uncomfortable to get soooo much attention in the Z when you are used to driving a Civic which NOBODY notices! LOL)

And how exactly do you notice a wart on someones head inside a car?

enkei2k 02-12-2013 11:11 AM

Seriously? I've never gotten any stares or anything when I'm driving around my neighborhood.

Depends where you live, in the colder parts of Canada a Z (of any kind) is just not something you see very often.

saber 02-12-2013 11:39 AM

meanwhile in los angeles, everybody just doesn't give a sh*t :icon17:

so your solution is: move to socal!

I hardly get anybody staring at my car here in the DFW area.

cossie1600 02-12-2013 11:52 AM

Last thing I want is other guys staring at me, creepy

Makes it that much better. Although when I see one in the winter I just shake my head at it. haha

You can fix that by having a lot of money. Look at how many creepy old billionaires have trophy wives

Quick370z 02-12-2013 12:39 PM

funny

get a roadster everyone stares and follows you

i remember driving the 350z roadster and it would almost cause accidents haha

I wouldn't say that Everybody stares at my Z when I go out but I know what you mean. I was actually thinking about this the other day. Sometimes, especially when I'm running errands, I just want to feel like I'm part of the traffic and I don't want to be stared at or egged on to race by some guy in a pickup truck. Oh well...the price to pay for such an extraordinary motor vehicle.

Interesting....I had an '07 350Z Roadster and I don't remember getting half the stares that I do in my '09 370Z Coupe.

that's because you got the wrong bodystyle for that chassis... you needed to get a G35C.

Thats the truth, DFW and HOU are like the LA/SD in this region with tons of nice high end cars. No one gives a sh*t, now if I had a lifted F-150 I'm sure that I would get plenty of looks!

TheGreatOne 02-12-2013 02:03 PM

I don't mind being stared it, I feel important lol :)

But its true though, I often catch people breaking their necks, starting, thumbs up..and just before winter a dad driving his son (I imagine) and the son had his phone hanging out of the car taking video/pictures...

I will say when I'm driving the golf during winter I get totally disrespected...people cutting me off, going first when at the opposite stop sign, looks of disgust by people in higher end vehicles...total opposite in the Z

And Montreal had tons of high end vehicles...so I guess its a looker

nepali 02-12-2013 02:50 PM

THAT IS HILARIOUS! HAHAHAHA! :icon18::icon18::icon18:

I will agree that I never get any stares driving around when I'm in Charlotte. When I go to Raleigh though I get thumbs up.

I never get thumbs up (even from other Z owners when I wave). Last time I was in Raleigh NC I had someone in a Z33 and someone in a S30 give me a thumbs. I'm happy with that, I didn't get this car to be flashy.

OP -- I'm from SoCal and can relate. I've noticed drivers lurk around when on the fwy. The other day, some random dude took photos while I was eating a sandwich where I can see him. Let's face it, it may not be over the top on the price range but it is a nice car. You just do not see a lot of it on the street --- maybe because a few are on the tracks :)

What kind of sandwich?

Do some cosmetic mods and make it loud and people will stare. At least when I am in my Camaro they do.

3.7 ZPA 02-12-2013 07:06 PM

I'm oblivious to what people are physically doing in their cars...I'm too paranoid about them Kamikazeing me from the other lane. I did have a couple of broads in a 350 yell at me on the Deegan once. A few ten-year-olds yelled at me on the street too..."good choice breh!!" Good times.

I've walked out of the grocery store to people taking pics of my car twice. Another time I was at starbucks drinking some coffee and a car pass by where my z is parked, slows down, rolls down window and takes a picture of my z. Other times I've seen people breaking their necks to looks at my car. So I guess it does get some attention. I live in socal.

HArturo319 02-12-2013 09:48 PM

I get it all the time. I like to think it's because of my good looks.
