Nope, that's still bad. No fuel cut or rev limiter can save you if you mechanically over rev it.

But the syncro rev match will scream at you if you have it on, and hopefully you won't release the clutch. Even if SRM isn't on it still shows you which gear you are in, so if in doubt, look at the display before you release the clutch.

Yeah, hopefully you catch it before you let the clutch out. Otherwise you're going to hear a very expensive noise.
