Have you tried tapping/hitting the steering lock? I know some guys say that it might help it get it unlocked once. Once unlocked, go pull the damn fuse!

I find it hard to believe the "Steering" category doesn't fall under Major Systems... I'd like to see the fine print of your warranty info, that's what they should show you. Cause that's messed up.
