Anyone else notice...

Going home from the dealer I bought my Z from yesterday I was accelerating, carefully, up an entrance ramp to the interstate to the speed limit, or a little beyond, carefully, when I look in my rear view mirror and see an Infinity G35 about 2 feet from my bumper. I don't have 50 miles on the car yet!

A block away from the dealership, I hit the brakes hard after seeing cars coming at me from my left in my peripheral vision. Turns out, the side mirror is so large and exactly at eye level that I believed I was about to be hit.

Keep in mind, I had only driven the Z a total of 30 seconds. Now, I'm used to the mirror blocking my view although it is disconcerting when I'm turning. I have to **** my head to look around it.

Edit: I guess "c*ck my head" isn't allowed by the word filter so how about "I have to stretch my neck to see around the mirror during turns"

Same. I almost have to stand up when making left turns in an intersection so I can see where the median curb is and make sure to avoid it.

As for tailgating... happens all the time. If I can, I usually just set my cruise at 70 in the center lane and hope people pass me.
