My Z gets mostly love. I don't get a lot of people insulting her, and when they do, I usually tune them out anyway.

Two friends of mine (both Mustang drivers) insist on telling me all the time that my Z sounds like a weed whacker... And then they try to pass me and i cut their grass ;-)

I'll tell you a good one, but it happened in a GTR.

I was going to a Playoff game for the cards, had to grab some cash so I stopped by my local BOA and pulled up next to the ATM. I was not the drive through ATM , but one on the side of the building. So I jumped out real quick and left the door open on the GTR. A 1998-2001 Miata Driver pulls up behind the car. Starts looking around it, and asks if it's a Mustang. :faceplate: , I politely said no it's a Nissan. So he asks if he can look inside, I said sure, have at it... while I'm still trying to get my cash out of the ATM, I hear, it's a shame you bought an automatic. I just shook my head and tried to explain the dual clutch system, but I think I blew his miata mind. O_o

God what an idiot. What he should have been is shocked that one Gtr is the value of like 5 brand new fagiata's.

New employee here at work, is a "car guy", but hes into old American muscle, after a few weeks he caught a whiff that i had a 'nice car' and jumped out of his seat asking "whacha got i wanna see", he sees the Nismo says "oh is that a 280" and seemed disappointed. Then he walks away and is like "we call those rice burners". Kindof pissed me off :shakes head:

I've honestly never been insulted. Some people on facebook have said I have a ricer car, but everyone I know personally has nothing but nice things to say about it.

I know people with Camaro SS, Mustang boss's, EvoX's, Lancers, etc... All of them respect the car and it's heritage.

I get asked on the road all the time what it is, and half the time they say how good it looks. One guy called it a japanese pocket rocket, but I didn't find it all that offensive as I think he meant it in a good way.

Females especially, they LOVE this car. I don't know what it is, but girls love this car. I get so many compliments on the car from them.

But yea, I don't get what you guys get at all :/ almost makes me feel left out. But then again, people in Madison aren't douche bags like other cities in America.

You shouldn't be upset, it is obvious that guy wasn't a car guy. He is only a "muscle car guy", which is a narrow perspective IMHO.

Everyone has their favorites, but a car guy is someone who appreciates all cars and what they can do. Too many interesting cars out there to keep it to one type.

I was told your car's too low, it's not practical. I've seen 'em lower is all I'd say. Other than that, I've had nothing but praise from all ages.
