Definitely true. There's a wide variety of CBEs out there and they are all over the place in terms of prices. CBE plus a CAI would be a good start, they're both manageable installations and found it yourself will save you $$ for other mods. Enjoy the car!!

If it's my money, I'm taking the $500 I would have dropped on the CAI and bought sways and springs. I'll bet you could find them used for that.
