They crashed my car!!!

Some fucken idiot wasnt paying attention to the stopped traffic and rammed right into my rear end!! AMAZINGLY nothing, absolutely nothing happened other than half a penny size of paint chipped off. I think what saved me was that i didnt have my foot on the break. Honestly, im i credibly impressed with the rigidity of the car. He hit me at freeway speeds!! Im so mad right now. He didnt have insurance so i got his license and car plates.. And im gonna make him pay for it... I just bought the car a couple months ago, im not paying for his lack of attention to the road.
Anywhooo... Just thought id share with everyone. Ill post pics tomorrow.. Still a bit shaky from the whole thing, He hit me pretty dam hard.

forza370z 10-24-2012 10:54 PM

Sorry to hear that but glad you didn't get injurd and the car didn't get much damage too. Time to make a list of items to "repair/replace" - amuse bodykit, FI catback, HKS coilovers, work wheels... Just name a few.;)

Wow very sad to hear :( But glad your fine :)

I would have it inspected at a body shop to make sure the crash bumper has not been compromised and the foam cover is not damaged.

The last thing you want is for that to fail if it were to happen again at a higher speed resulting in God forbid injuries. IMO

Never thought of that! Thanks for the advice!.. So any body shop will do? How much do you think they'll charge?

I have no idea to be honest

I don’t see how you got hit at freeway speeds and just the paint got chipped. What did he hit you with a go kart? I have been in enough accidents (none of which were my fault) at variable speeds to have a good idea of MPH to damages.

Either your fluffing the "speed" or there is a tremendous amount of damage under the bumper and you need to have it inspected.

Sorry if I sound like a jerk but this does not add up to me.

Well he was on a 1999 corolla, going freeway speeds but slammed on the breaks right before and i didnt have my foot on the break so that might have softened the blow.

But by all means, you dont sound like a jerk. Nothing happened to my car on the outside. So im HOPING that nothing happened underneath.
All i know is either im extremely lucky, or my car is a disaster from the inside..

Believe me, last thing i want to lie about is me in a car accident on the freeway.
Ill try to take a pic of it right now.
But im just as baffled as you are

Well now that you added he slammed on his breaks it makes more sense. I guess the way I read the first post he hit you at freeway speeds. Sounds like he slowed down to 5 MPH or less.

3rd day I owned my pearl white I was spraying it off and a 1/2 dime size piece of paint shot off the rear bumper. Guess your paint is stronger than mine.

I got quotes from dealership on both a blend and full bumper repaint. If you need to check pricing pm me.

Wow man, sorry to hear that. I see so many drivers just not paying attention while driving.
