Enthusiast that will buy this car will be surely disappointed if its less powerful. By the time the FRS/BRZ fad wears off, most will crave more hp again...heck they already do. A new, more "sports car" mustang is also on the horizon and I doubt ford would dare get rid of the V8.

If they can get it to around 3K lbs even, a 300 hp motor would make it faster than the current Z with less power.

300 bhp put of a (>2.0) turboed 4 is very doable.

I'm thinking 3100 lbs, 310 bhp turbo 4 OR 3250 lbs 350 bhp NA V6.

Then it's just a matter of selecting your preferred flavor.

Maybe a turbo option would make it 'feel' faster (as oposed to the flat torque curve on the current). Also maybe a turbo option would make it easier to upgrade? As long as the sports car spirit of the car is retained, and its a great driving experiance, ill buy it. No need for pushing big performance numbers or being practical, thats what the GTR is for.

Cars that turbo from factory are always easier to extract power from. Just turn up the boost and its gg.

Hoping the rumors are true and the next Z is based off Esflow concept.

I'm sorry but that car is :superghey:

To me, the Esflow looks like some odd mixup of a Saturn Sky and a current Mazda6 / RX8.

Those buldging wheel arches stand out a bit too much for my taste and the arse is oddly abrupt, bubbled and lifted.

I'm soooo biased, but I think the current 370Z (in any trim) is about as visually impressive as the Z has ever been.

Will it change, sure it will. Hopefully a tad lighter and a tad more powerful. Only time will tell.

I just know this is a great time to own one of these machines.

if the Z becomes 4cyl turbo my days of being a fan are over.

the esflow makes me wann vommit.

brucelidat 10-23-2012 08:38 PM

the esflow is pretty hideous in my opinion

brucelidat 10-23-2012 08:39 PM

now the Infiniti Essence concept would be great for base the next Z off of.

370Zvetlana 03-10-2013 09:04 PM

is it not odd that we're in march and still no word about a 2014 370z? (aside from the nismo)

HKYStormFront 03-10-2013 10:15 PM

i doubt there will be many changes this year, i think the majority of the changes will be MY2015
