Will there be a 2014 370Z?
Or is the 2013 the last for this version? Any news?

Rumors over news. IBTL

Why would this be locked? I am just asking if anything official has been released?
|
|
Yes. And it will have twin turbos.
That's what I heard. |

I asked a serious question. If there is no official news, then there is no official news. |

Are you wondering when it will change to something all new other than the recent facelift?

On a serious note, I don't think Nissan would have given the Z a face-lift for 2013 if they were going to make bigger changes for 2014.
Of course, they did that with the GTR in 2012 and 2013, so you never know. My guess would be that the 2014's would be the same. Nothing new until at least 2015 or 2016. |

supposedly the "new G" will be out as a 2015 model, the next Z will probably be the year after. all that we know right now is that nissan is planning "RS" versions of several cars including the Z next year. what that means has yet to be disclosed but the JDM Z33 380RS was pretty much a balls out track car built for the road using a fully race built motor. i don't know that that's what we're going to see here but expect more power and even crazier body work and track prep
|
Will there be a Z? Yes.
Will it be called Fairlady in JDM land? Yes. Will it be called a 370Z here in the US and other places? Who knows. It may be a 390Z, or a 240Z or a 300Z. Will it go back to its retro roots ala Mustang? most likely based on rumors. |

Their will always be a Z. Just like the mustang, i think Nissan learned their lesson after the early 2000's. you will be fine, buy what you want now. If your always waiting on the next model, you will never enjoy what you have. I went through this allot when I was younger, just trust me on this.. the 370z in its current iteration will be fast enough and handle well enough to make you happy. The only time it wont is when you start magazine racing it. But unless you get paid to drive race cares for a living, the Z will be more then ehough.
|
I am not waiting for the next model, I like this one, just can't buy until 2014 and would prefer new.
That's why I asked if it will still be produced in 2014. If it's to early for this question then just tell me. |

I honestly think the next Z will not look as good as this one. The sales are down significantly, and part of it is due to the design being so out there. I love it, but I think the next model will be much more conservatively designed to compete and appeal to the mainstream sports/muscle car consumer. It is too early for now. |
Until Nissan says something, it's all speculation. Enjoy what you have right now in its prime.

not sure about the Z's but i know the GTR's are "ahead" a model year. for example, an '08 GTR over there is an '09 here. we're on the 2013 GTR's now but they are 2012's over there. perhaps that's what they meant, the 2014 Z over there would be the 2015 Z here
|
That bodes well for me.
|
I have visited the future and there are 2014 Zs there. Now I must go back to the future and save the clock tower.
|
Why wouldn't there be a 2014 Z? We had the 350z for 7 years why would nissan stop making the 370 after 5?

Be realistic, you won't find out until at least the 1st Q of 2013, just wait for now... and hang around in this forum... |
I'm curious to find out if Nissan completely redesigns the Z or just changes a few things to improve the existing structure/design. Also, would the price stay the same or increase while appealing to certain demographics. I can tell the 370z Roadster is positioned as a sports GT for a more affluent buyer compared to the base 370z coupe, which is nearly $10,000 cheaper (.) > > >

You do know they already changed the current Z right?
|
If it's anything like the 35th Anniversary, we might finally see a power bump. I doubt a complete re-design will be ready as a 2014 model. More cosmetic changes are likely. Nissan has pretty much tackled most of the lingering issues with the 370 within reason. Oil cooler, brake cooling...etc. Chances of a turbo option are pretty slim and a new powerplant would be better invested into completely new Z. A 45th Anniversary with some fancy stiching & stickers is all I really expect from Nissan.
