That's not a plx kiwi. I suppose if it works for you great. I had tried a few other generic ones with poor results. Ended up getting the real plx kiwi BT.

the more expensive ones are stronger connections and refresh rate is much quicker. They can also send more pids than the cheaper units. I have the the obdlink mx its pretty much spot on with 0 lag.

I personally can't recommend the PLX Kiwi enough. It's not cheap, but 70 bucks being the difference between questionable feedback and fast feedback 100% of the time is a no-brainer for me personally.

Plus, you can always keep it and use it in your next car.

Is anyone able to completely remove the GPS position parameter from being logged during data logging? I've turned it off in the options but it still takes up 3 columns with xyz position data

Guys, anyone looking for a PLX Kiwi Bluetooth I have one in perfect working order for $80 s/h picked up by me. I switched to an iPhone a while ago and iOS requires the kiwi wifi (not Bluetooth). Don't mess around with the cheaper devices, they don't transmit data fast enough (I saw lag on my readings using Torque) and the connections are quirky. Take mine off my hands and don't ever worry about silly problems! I posted it in the FS forum a few weeks ago but no bites.

BTW - Torque and most othe OBDII apps are written to work with the Kiwi.

Default 370z Vehicle Profile

Alright guys, just got my OBDII reader and purchased torque...What are the settings for the Vehicle Profile for the 370z?

Engine Displacement (liters): 3.7
Total Vehicle Weight (driver, fuel, etc): ?3400?
Fuel Type: Petrol
Fuel tank capacity: 19 US Gallons
Boost Adjustment: 0.0
Mqax dial RPM: 7500
Volumetric Efficiency %: 85%

I'm really unsure about the Vehicle Weight. What are the weights for the various trims, plus gas?

I will update this post with correct values as we go...so far, with the settings above, I've calculated 304hp at peak, with a 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds.

I didn't realize this thread lived on. WOW! lol. I kinda forgot to come back and post photos of my install. Well, here they are

I pulled the cubby door out. Had to pop off a few things to get there. It was much simpler than I thought it would be. I followed a thread here about stereo removal. **DEFINITELY USE A RAG TO COVER THE SCREWDRIVER WHEN YOU PRY THE RING FROM AROUND THE SHIFTER**
DSC_3926.jpg

This was the view after I pulled the cubby out. I don't have pics here but I dismantled the spring-loaded hinge. I'd recommend you take photos step by step if you ever plan on getting the hinge back in place. It's a bit of a mess.

I took a regular tablet protective case and flipped the cover over to the back (I guess you could just cut the cover, but I flipped it just so I could keep using it as a regular protector should I ever take all of this back apart). I took some vinyl (from Hobby Lobby, $8 for 2 square yards) and cut slits where the feet are for the tablet protector. Stretched the vinyl around the back of the cubby and held it with mini clamps while the gorilla glue I used dried.

Finished version after glue dried and before I hooked everything back together

This is what it looks like without the tablet mounted

Eventually I'll pull it back out and mod it to hide the charger cord behind the dash, but right now that's proving to be a bigger challenge than originally thought. I'll post pics whenever I get around to doing that.
