92 days and counting on my wheels...hopefully spawn can be faster than that...

The Z on the operating table makes me cry - but I know she will be fine.

73 days and counting since this thread started....:shakes head:

I agree it is taking a long time, and there hasn't been much communication either.

Making large composite body parts is distinctly not easy. Making large CF body parts is even less so.

I appreciate the thread quite a bit, but I have to say I will be will be very surprised if you guys can pull off high-quality parts that actually fit well and last. If you do, my guess is that the labor will be so obscene that there won't be much in the way of profit on these.

Anyway, best of luck to all involved...

So I would like to start this lil mini review off with a picture:

Ok so the first Spawn Aero B-Pillar replacements are out on the market and I must say they Look FANTASTIC! the product is very solid and thin! its probably 2-5mm thick and extremely light and I mean light they are easily a 1/3 of the weight of the OEM pieces. I would type more but I will let the video speak for itself ;)

Now on to pics! More coming tomorrow when I get to use my DSLR :D

someone post this on PG!!..

you guys think if your windows are pretty dark tint (mine is 12%) it will look better without it?... when the windows are dark it blends in with the stock b pillars and makes it look nice and sleek like the gtr. Im afraid the cf pillars will break that sleek look by adding contrast

Someone else said the same thing and think they might be right. If the windows are already tinted dark enough, then adding this CF pillar might not be a good thing.....like you said, breaks the sleek look of one big window. Sorta makes me glad I havent gone with the window tint.....yet.

Oh.....CONGRATS on getting the parts!!! Looks great.....and great vid, too!

BanningZ 09-10-2009 10:21 PM

alexpila 10-23-2009 05:53 AM

Shett cant wait to see the results i love the carbon valence!

bullitt5897 10-23-2009 08:10 AM

still waiting on John

2theextreme 10-23-2009 08:56 AM

John told me he had sent me the front valence quite some time ago but unfortuantely, either it never arrived or it was delivered and someone swiped it. I'm hoping for the first option....

alexpila 10-25-2009 05:58 AM

looking good!! just a question why is the license plate backing so expensive wen its a small piece?? am i missing something??

bullitt5897 10-25-2009 10:49 AM

It's not a small piece and requires more material than the b-pillars combined. That's why it's expensive...

2theextreme 10-25-2009 10:54 AM

John's hooking me up with a new front valence....this time we've decided to go with a blue front valence but keeping the rear valence black!

Oh....and he's going forward with creating blue b pillars for me!
