I hate ricers

hey everyone, I really need a place to vent my frustrations right now

So i was on my way home from the local military base after filling my tank and getting a car wash in one of those gas station car wash machines and while i was leaving the base, this ricer in a lancer evo revs his engine at me trying to get me to race on base while exiting the gate
Being the adult in this situation I decide to ignore him and let him be a ricer, well not only does that piss him off to the point of him wanting to cut me off at every chance he got, he also threw what ever the f**k drink he was drinking out of his windows and get my car dirty right after i f**cking washed it, i just finished washing my car AGAIN at my house but because its dark, idk if im going to get spots or not and ill probably have to rewash my car again tomorrow

I guess if others have something similar to share please share it, I am wondering if ricers are just as bad everywhere else or is it just the town i live in

6MT 09-12-2012 10:38 PM

nice

lemon-fresh 09-12-2012 10:40 PM

Yes, stupid people are everywhere.

Strangler 09-12-2012 10:40 PM

Well if it happened on base get his license plate number then report it to his commanding officer.

nmjaxx9 09-12-2012 10:41 PM

ricers are everywhere, sadly half of my friends have riced cars, but aren't the ricer personality.....welll not all of them are. :bowrofl:

anyways yeah the normal stop light revs, jumps, inciting to race, all common in my town as well. But I just find it amusing, its funny cuz I stay cool about it, and they act up even more, which means I must really get under their skin.:driving:

but def a no no on throwing the drink I had a drunk do that when I was going to a college party one time, luckily i know people so I know where they live and all their info just incase. muwhahaha :stirthepot:

Cmike2780 09-12-2012 10:42 PM

That sucks, but the car should be fine. Don't blame the Evo though, blame the a-hole driving it.

memorylasts 09-12-2012 10:42 PM

well the bases have a lot of kids with money and hold some form of douchebaggery, i was stationed at North Island, never had and issue in fact im still on base on some saturdays.

my2004Z 09-12-2012 10:44 PM

I usually ignore those tools UNLESS they touch my Z! Then it's lesson teaching and example setting time. Throwing $h1t at someone's car is a good way to get shot. :excited:

frost 09-12-2012 10:46 PM

Never had anything like that happen. In AZ (and AK) there is a 50/50 chance that any other driver on the road is armed, which I believe results in drivers thinking twice before doing anything too stupid.

DIGItonium 09-12-2012 10:46 PM

Wow you totally didn't lose your cool on this guy. There are crazies out there, and that guy is begging for a chase and beat down.

north island isnt to bad about ahole drivers, this happened at the miramar marine base, and i see alot of riced cars there, but i dont usually run into aholes like that on base, off base is another story but i guess i found the exception

i usually ignore them as well, and this is the first time this has happened to me ever, and i have had ricers do burn outs next to me at stop lights but i never had someone throw something at my car until tonight

oh i was going to, i have a perfectly good tire iron in the back of my car but my mother was in the car and she calmed me down enough to just drive home and let him be a douche bag

EndyKwon 09-12-2012 10:53 PM

Ugh, I know that feel man. I was minding my own business until a douche in a Chevy PICKUP revvs at me at the light. He blows off and stops at the next light calling me a "pussy faggot" for not racing him. I think I lost a few IQ points just hearing what he had to say.

If anything, I feel that I get "challenged" by teenagers in their Mustang or some American vehicle more than ricers.

i havent had an american car challenge me yet
i had a chick driving an automatic v6 eclipse challenge me at one of the meets i went to in orange county, and when i said no i dont street race she started talking about how fast her eclipse was and how slow the Z cars were

370Z Purist 09-12-2012 11:07 PM

That Lancer driver isn't just a ricer, he's an ***. At least ricers just talk as much **** as their cars do, not throw crap out at other cars.

This is sorta funny, but when I first got the 370Z I encountered a late 80s 300ZX one night. I thought to myself "Oh, that's cool!" Then as the car drove by the passenger threw a cigarette butt and it slid across the windshield.

Man, I lost my temper and gunned it next to the car. It was a couple of tween chicks. The passenger had her legs propped on the dash of the car. The driver, a bit startled. So from there I cooled down... just felt a lil Quagmire-like for a little bit haha.

Z_ealot 09-12-2012 11:11 PM

i find that it's mostly douchebags in trucks that are raised for no good reason are the ones that "try" to race me most of the time, other than that though i mostly just get compliments on the color of my Z :D

very true, ricers are just immature kids who dont know much about cars yet they want to appear like they know something, i think we were all there once, i know i was a ricer once

that made me laugh a bit, did you at least say giggity after doing that lol XD

JungleZ 09-13-2012 12:24 AM

I didnt think i would get revved on this much. Everyone and their mom tries to race me. Maybe its because the exhaust note is so quiet. At least the 350Z sounds like chewbacca.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, now that I think of it, there is little to no exhaust note on the stock 370z. I really wish it had the low purr like the G37.

axmea? 09-13-2012 12:33 AM

Jealous and immature (jrks none the less). That's all.

rAiN 09-13-2012 01:32 AM

Try this. It WILL work. Stick your tongue out at her like a psycho perv to give her the creeps. That'll keep her away from you.

Unexpectedfar 09-13-2012 02:18 AM

I dont think most people would appreciate being generalized. just say i hate stupid idiot drivers! but yeah Id be mad too. wooooooosaaaa!

alcheng 09-13-2012 02:54 AM

OP, today you learned more about yourself....

A responsible driver...

A brain with high EQ...

A good person...

Congrats!! :tiphat:

I cringed a little reading that too.

I just ignore the ricer kids....I got it all the time in the Camaro too. I think maybe the "FASTAH" personalized tag provokes them or something. LOL I've only had one person rev on me since I got the Z....a middle aged lady in a Caddy CTS. I just laughed and let her haul arse away from the light on her own....and thought to myself, I sure wish my FIRST choice for a personalized tag would have been available....

WHATEVAH

m4a1mustang 09-13-2012 08:38 AM

I have had similar encounters with Evo drivers. I had one try to race me for over 15 minutes. He followed me around town, revving, flying by, cutting me off, etc. We were even behind a county police officer at one point and he was still behind me goosing the throttle so I could hear his BOV.

I turned through some side streets, even drove by the county courthouse, and this douche was still following me. Swerving, revving, etc.

He had MD tags and apparently didn't know that people in Virginia carry. I was about to turn into a parking lot when he finally decided to break off. I am sure he was lost since he followed me for so long.

speedfreek 09-13-2012 08:58 AM

I just hope it was one of those touchless car washes. I would be more worried about what scratches one of those machines did to my car then some punk revving his engine at me. The throwing of the drink is begging for a beat down though.

I have had a few encounters with the local Honda crowd. One almost hit me. The driver was tailgating me and I was about to turn. I guess it pissed him off that I was going so slow and must have not noticed the blinker. Well the idiot tries to cut me off before I make my turn. I just shook my head. Then there have been three CTS-V's since I have put on exhaust that have wanted to run. One was a brand new one trying to get me to go in rush hour traffic on the HWY. He finally gave up.

Haven't had any issues out of Subbie's or Evo's or anything else.

Yeah, if the car sounds quiet people think it's slow. I think it's good because the cops don't look at you. It's funny though, when you have a V8 and it sounds like it's not running right... that's when the ricers want to race you. When you've got it dialed in, running strong and sounding right, they keep thier distance.

DarkJak 09-13-2012 12:39 PM

Wow that's more to him being an *** than being a ricer. Buying the car was probably because he felt like he had something to prove. ;o

Funny, that's been my experience too.

11Thumper 09-13-2012 01:01 PM

In this situation it's almost always good to speak to the individual outside of the car and ensure they get a clear message of your objection to their behavior.

Read into this however you want... :D

can one of those things scratch your car?
i know they use shammies instead of cloth but i didnt think it would scratch the car, i personally have never had my car scratched by one of those things before

i have had that happen to me when i driving home one day after hanging out with some friends, this honda guy was right on me to the point of no roll room, literally bumper to bumper, i tried driving extra slow and moving out of his way but he stuck on me so when we reached an open stretch of road i gunned it to 80 and lost him

not sure if he wanted to hear the car zoom off or something but it was really annoying

Raw_Shark 09-13-2012 02:36 PM

Dude, call the police. In pretty much every state it's against the law to throw objects out of and/or at a moving car. In some states it's a felony. Make this douchebag PAY.

If that was me and I knew who did it, justice would be a molotov to the hood of his car.

Apoc370z 09-13-2012 03:18 PM

Well living in cali..

Most mustang/camaro drivers i have encountered = females divers, so no drama from those.

Porsche drivers = older folks that wont even turn their heads.

But! Pick up drivers on the other hand.. Oboy :roflpuke2:
