How are your hands positioned while driving?

left hand at around 7-8 (bump on the outer edge of the wheel), controlling the wheel with my pointer and thumb. Right hand, shifting, texting, banging.

If she was doing it right, you wouldn't have to hold her head. Train her up cause safety first..
