Question 2012 370Z Climate Control Off on Startup

My 2012 370Z always has the climate control turned off when I start the car. It does not retain the previous climate control settings from before I turned the car off. It doesn't make any difference whether the climate control was set to auto or manual before I turned the car off.

It is just a nuisance to have to turn on the A/C, turn up the fan, and set the temperature every time I turn the car on.

Is there any fix for ths? Is the climate control start up setting programmable in any way?

Thank You!

Check to see if the long-term-storage switch is pulled out. I believe it is in the fuse panel in the car. Push it in and see if that solves the problem.

Open the fuse box on the drivers side footrest. There's a big white fuse that's not pressed all the way in. Push that in and that should take care of it. It should have been done for you/ when you bought if from the dealer. The fuse is pulled out to save on battery while it sits from the time it is built until it is sold.

MarkGideon and axmea?,

You were both exactly right! I just went out and checked, and the problem is now fixed. I have been asking the dealer for months, and you fixed the problem in 26 minutes flat!

You Rock!

Thank You Very Much!

There is a line in your bill when you buy the car from the dealership. It is called delivery fees. Well guess what, you paid, they did not deliver 100%

Same thing happened to me. The dealer's 'Master Tech' told me that was how it was supposed to work. When I told him what I did (and they forgot to do), he still wanted to argue with me about it and that the 'default' setting was for it to be off. LOL! You'll find that everything else works now, too. It actually affects a lot more things than the climate control.

You are right about that, too! The Homelink garage door opener has been inoperable since I got the car: It would not enter Learn Mode, so I could program the codes. I just ordered a new Rearview Mirror with the Homelink Transmitter yestereday to try and fix this. Now it works perfectly.

What other memory oriented features will work now?

Yes, this can affect anyone with the touring package if the fuse isn't pushed in.

This is why supporting this site is important. I did not know this either.
