I leave it on, and I use it all the time [now that I'm lazy]. I turn it off when my friends drive the car, but then I realize when they downshift they literally force it in without rev matching. :shakes head:

I have never turned mine off. Ever.

I keep it on. I still haven't gotten the hang of the clutch in this car (it has terrible feel compared to most in my opinion). If I want to practice my "real" manual transmission I drive my Morgan which pretty much has no synchros - double clutching takes a while to master for sure.

YES!!!

Gosh when I see people do that, I cringe. People were just never taught how to do it when they first learn.

I've left mine off. Clutch wear, sure, but meh.

Turned mine OFF during the test drive. Never turned it back on.

I turn mine off in the stop-n-go traffic. Otherwise it's usually on.

It does waste a lot more gas if you have it on, if you do not normally revmatch while downshifting. I only turn mine on when I have more than one person in the passenger seat lol :ughdance: Otherwise I revmatch myself and keep it off.

Mine stays off for daily driving. When I take a spirited mountain drive I turn it on but after driving for over 40 years it's hard to get used to it. I already know how to drive a manual transmission and rev match and I have to consciously remember not to blip the throttle or double clutch when driving hard with the SRM on.

Wow, I've only used mine twice in the six months I've had it. Didn't really like, I will give it another shot soon though.

Have never turned it on since I was scared by it during the test drive.

I have been driving a manual so long that it just feels weird leaving it on.

I've been driving manual transmission cars for more years than I care to admit and the rev match feature is a GREAT feature. I have to admit that when I first purchased the vehicle that the muscle memory of my right foot tried to rev match on downshifts when the rev match was turned on. I eventually got used to the feature and it does a impeccable job of rev matching on downshifts. More consistent than I could ever hope of achieving!

I only turned off twice :o in last 3 years. I was soo good at downshifting when I had my 350z. Then I bought the 370Z with the synchroREV match. It does such an amazing job, it's just addicting to keep it on. I must say, if I get another manual gearbox car, I kinda have to re-master the downshifting. Also, I should mention, synchroREV match ALSO affects how you up shift too. Your RPM is kept on hold at the perfect up shift point. SRM doesn't let the RPM drop as it would with a normal 6speed gearbox. So, yup my up shifting skills down the drain too. But considering the fact I'm at 60,000 miles and my clutch is still good, you gotta hand it to SRM. It's an addicting feature. Especailly with my HKS exhaust when I down shift to around 6000 RPM, it's music to my ear (and people around or behind me :) ) :driving:

lemme use this opportunity to ask you guys about your synchrorev matches!

so in my car.. when I downshift/rev-match myself.. the car is smooth and there's no shift-jerk. but for some reason my synchrorev isn't that smooth. it feels like.. the car blips the throttle for me, but not quite enough.. so I still get that engine-bog/unstable feeling when I let the clutch out.

I don't think my S-R system could be faulty since the car is pretty much new (plus it 'does' rev) but I haven't experienced the 'magic' of the revolutionary system like all the reviews/members rave about.

do you guys 'quickly' release the clutch after you downshift and it revs? I think maybe it's because I slowly let it out thinking it'll be a smoother shift, and in those 1-2 seconds the revs drop a bit?
