Going to try it for a month, since people have asked me about powdercoating, and I have been doing a ton of sport brakes for G37 and 350z conversion guys through word of mouth lately.

Is there any interest in a caliper exchange program? I can do it if I get 5 confirmed people. Normal price is 350 plus 30 shipping and a refundable 900 core charge, but I would only add the core to your credit card in the event you did not return them.

Initial group buy would be 300 plus the 30 shipping if I can get the 5 people to buy in.

Here are some samples of my work with the sport calipers (everyone wants akebono, don't know why)

I can do something other than Akebono!!!!!!!

Is the lettering customizable to what each customer wants?

yep, I can put anything on there. I was very close to going with 'Datsun' on mine, but decided to go with what the people seem to like.

The only limitation on lettering is red calipers and light colored letters. Those have to be vinyl decals, as the red will bleed through. Everything else is stencilled on and sealed under a clear coat of powder.

Looks nice, how hard is it to swap out the calipers? I'm a moron when it comes to such things.

Anybody done just a cool Z logo yet?

bleeding them is the hardest part, and its not hard, just intimidating. No custom Z logos yet, but if you give me what you want, I can do it, as I cut my own stencils here.

Good news to hear. Now I've just got to piece together a brake kit.

without ceramic pads, probably yes, although our pads don't dust much at all.

I can give the group price and turn your own calipers around, I just need 5 firm orders to make it reasonable to buy the core set.

The white akebono with black letters above is a pearl white.

How would one clean them up? Just soap and water? Most rim cleaner seems to wreck havoc on calipers over a period of time.

I'm in SC .... Loganville, off Hwy 81, about a 15 minute drive north from I-20? If I drove over to you, how long would it take to have them done, and would you remove, powdercoat, and re-install them? Thanks.

John

cleaning is with soap and water every time you wash. Nothing more.

Ideally, I like to strip them down to bare metal, and that takes overnight. I can just scuff and sand the faces off and coat them, and if I did that, from start to finish would be around 8 hours, and I have a 200 installation charge. If I do get the exchange core set, I can turn you around in 2 hours.

Mike is the only person I will send my stuff to get powercoated, great service and quality.

Here are some I have done, and I have recommended him to many people and all have been satisfied

I have had the ones on the 350Z for 4 years and no issues, you can tell by the car, it has changed quite a bit since then, and also had the ones on my 300Zx done by Mike
