what year were those two you owned. my family has had 5 hyundais since 2001. 6, now actually my parents just bought a new sonata this weekend. my parents had a 2001 sonata, my 2 brothers each had a 2004 elantra, my sister has a 2003 elantra. i had a 2004 tiburon. none of them had any major issues or problems. just regular maintenance. the 2001 sonata was not the best quality, but that is really when hyundai started to turn around the quality of their cars. IMHO the quality of hyundais is just as good now as any other car on the market comparatively.
