I'm thinking about some sways.

Look at the JWT clutch and flywheel. I've been to a few race shops, and every mechanic I talk to loves them.

Also do your master and clutch slave cylinder when you upgrade. The stockers are weak and prone to failure!

rhd 02-18-2013 10:16 PM

Bought some SPC rear camber arms and toe bolts today... also a set of NST pulleys...

I also visited a shop and they gave me a tour, nice shop, I'm going to have them install my new Quaife LSD and give her an alignment. :driving:

yeah just stay under 4k on medium throttle. definitely no WOT for you for 400 miles. i say 400 cause you might actually get decent mileage this tank lol

:iagree:

I got 28mpg when I goofed up.

Finally got my windows tinted (now that it's beginning to warm up here). 15% all the way around (minus the windshield of course). I love it.

Something this simple just makes the car look better.

Now she needs a wash, badly, but that'll have to wait until after Wednesday (supposed to rain).

UnReal 02-18-2013 10:30 PM

Home from Vegas.. and in the mailbox i found some CF vinyl wrap and some new mirrors from KamiSpeed :)

I'm thinking about a Quaife as well. Mind if I ask why you are upgrading?

I'm doing it so I can actually power through turns without the VDC castrating my power outs and also to allow me to get real powered drifts when it's wet and I want to have a bit of fun!

In short (as I've posted above) our LSDs are totally crap! lol. Oh well.

I have a base model Z (open diff, no VLSD) - I am putting it in preparation for a Boosted Performance single turbo build :happydance:

Stillen Gen 3 CAI gets delivered today. I hope they deliver it early enough to go over to my mechanics house ( grease monkey i work with ) and he's gonna help me install it.

After I found a thread about this in the tech area my Z felt deprived and sad with its modest opaque button. The new part arrived while at work and went outside for a Nissan break. Here were the results.

just finished painting my engine cover monterey blue. was pretty simple to do, just masked everything off and took about 20-30 minutes to paint and unmask and clean up any small spots where paint might have gotten past the tape

drove the Z for a bit and washed it, felt good to be back driving it

CDepp 02-19-2013 07:50 PM

Caught a short run (not racing, just driving alongside) with a silver Z and a cute female driver on 485 today. Blew past her before I caught the plate.

I went to Las Vegas yesterday to see about getting a subwoofer for my stereo and to buy a new sectional for the house. Got an Alpine 8" shallow box subwoofer. It rocks! I was pleasantly surprised!

Crazy, I did not see one 370. I did see two 350s and four Lotuses....go figure. Oh yeah, the wife loves the couch and the Sushi dinner after the spending frenzy!

Sounds like you'll need sound deadener soon. :p

Sounds like the wife should be much quieter after the couch, spending spree, and dinner. Sound deadener would just be overkill after all that, don'tcha think? Does your GT Mat work well on people?

/I'm an a$s, and not sexist. But, it's a funny sexist joke

It keeps the trunk noise down, that's all you need in the middle of the night. :stirthepot:

Too bad the Z is a hatch. :icon17:

Wait....did I just get.....were you making a joke about.....?! ....THAT, WAS FUNNY! Turned my whole joke around on me!

:bowrofl:

These cars do need something for road noise. The sounds from night happenings could probably be adjusted with something less expensive: gags, silk ties, dirty gym socks, etc.

Twas a bad joke about kidnapping but could be interpreted another way now that I read it. :icon17: oops.

Went back to the dyno with the boost controller and put down 546whp 457wtq @ 10psi

My Z is getting pounded right now by the rain but I was able to clean the brake dust off my wheels yesterday before the rain started

I posted something about this wheel wax last week but now that I went a week driving around it really helped to protect the wheels especially if you're running a more aggressive pad like I am

Chemical Guys Wheel Guard WheelWax & Rim Cleaner

It makes the wheels easier to clean which is always a plus
