Because that's an estimate of how much it will cost me to get test pipes, headers, plentimod(sp?) and a tune

Ah.

Modding costs dollars. That's why mine is stock except for intake, exhaust, brakes, sways, shocks, shifter, springs, pulleys, fluids, belt, hoses, clutch pedal, etc.

Ordered the Z1 Undertray in Black. Even though it's hidden, I want it for the easier oil changes, I get so tired of forcing that plastic tray piece to fold back. I usually end up using string to tie it open while the oil drains out.

Got the oil changed in the Z.
Picked up my tires that TireRack drop shipped there. Told them the story and they just shook their heads.

Talked to Carlos, my wheel refinishing magician, and told him what was up.
He was like "I can refinish the insides of the wheels and fix your curb rash, but I'll have to take the tires off to do it. Why don't you let me mount your new tires? Did you know I can do that? And you know I won't mess up your wheels."
Me: "Oh, right. Duh."

Problem solved.
Not that I expect anything to come of it, but I'm gonna send the dealer the bill for refinishing the insides of the wheels.

yah, i learned long time ago to remove the old weights, centering ring, center cap, and valve caps prior to taking wheels with old tires in to get swapped.

i also panter's tape the spokes on wheels that protrude past the lip.

Looked at it long and hard glistening in the sun, as I hopped into my Civic to go back to work. Just another month and I will be able to drive it more often :/

Does your license suspension expire in a month or something like that?

Today, Waz a good Z Day. I recieved my new personalized plates from DMV. I have a beautiful set of iSS wheels which don't really fit anything - so I have the rubber taken off and have sent the wheels back to iSS to have them retro fit to something that will actually work and still look amazing - Red Wheels, with Red Brake and Red Interior, Red Tail lights - so - all in all a good Z Day.
