We have a small, 3-drive RAID 5 and keep a spare drive on hand  I can't wait until these prone-to-fail-spectacularly mechanical hard drives have gone the way of the dodo :hello: I want a 5 TB SSD :icon17:

Join the club! lol.

The largest of my arrays has 146 disks in it. We don't have failures very often, but when they do happen in the middle of the night, it's usually half way rebuilt on a hotspare before I wake up to read the alert email anyway.

Haven't had any of the big NL-SAS drives fail yet thank GOD *KNOCK ON WOOD*, those will surely take for freakin ever to rebuild.

I wish! But alas, no, not this year :( I will likely reserve a cabin for next year, however. How early can you book them? It seems like there's usually a big rush after the event to book for the next year. I was just planning to get in at that time  :driving:

You can book a year in advance. I always do.

What the hell is everyone talking about? Arrays and servers. I'm lost. Although it's cool when you realize how different we all are professionally, yet share the love of the same car.
Oh, and tell your boss's boss you're sick. ZDayZ wins.

Ordered NGK GTR plugs. One step colder for need I say. TT kit.

Redeemed my free oil change coupon from Nissan. I brought them my own oil. I was informed that I will be unable to reregister my car unless I do the recall on the steering lock. What a waste of time.

Nearly forced a wave from a 350Z driver as we sat in bumper to bumper traffic. I did get a wave back.

Getting the transmission swapped today.
Got this as a 'courtesy vehicle because they didn't have any left on the lot, so I got a SUUUBUUUUURRRRBAN.

I got an update today that the old transmission was pulled:

So, I took the entire IT group to lunch. 6 deep in the SUUUBUUUURRRRBAN:

New transmission setup and in place:

On our way out, we saw this crappy parking job. He about pulled the bumper off as he left. He was actually walking to his truck from behind me as I snapped the pic:
