Got up early today to take my car to the dealer for a scheduled oil change and check a error code I'm getting with Torque Pro. It took about 30 minutes to change oil and reprogram the ECU. I was expecting to get standard bulk oil but was surprised they put in Kendall 5W-30 full synthetic oil.

While I was there I walked to the showroom. They had a new 2013 Z exactly like mine and a solid black 2014 GT-R in the showroom. The GT-R had "Please do not touch" signs on all four windows. I couldn't help thinking "WOW, if the GT-R is that fragile I'm not sure I'd want one". The Z next to it didn't have any signs on it.

On the way home I stopped at Pet Supermarket to get some pet food. When I want back to my Z I was getting ready to pull our when a Dodge Challenger Was backing into a space near mine, and of course he had to rev his engine several times to get his car positioned correctly. The rest of the trip home was without any additional drama.

I'm at work today (woo hoo, easy OT) and look out the breakroom window and see a silver 370. Looks so pretty parked there on the street. I want to run to the garage and grab mine and park next to it, it looks so lonely out there. :(

I've got a dude in my neighborhood with a fartcan exhaust on his G35 that used to drive by every morning and rev his engine just to be a douche. Then the FI exhaust/cats went on and the douchelord behavior stopped pretty quickly.

What do guys mean by too much? If you guys are talking about the body kit, wing and paint job, thats all stock on that ACR edition. Plus if it says Venom 1000 on it, than its twin turboed from Hennessey!

dmhenderson 04-06-2013 11:28 AM

That's a stock wing? Looks like a bolt-on. Just seems too exaggerated for my tastes but then again, so are chrome lambos so ymmv

Yep, stock wing.. Its basically just a track car so yeah, a little too much if you just bought it to drive around the streets.

I just think the body of the car itself almost seems like its trying too hard for my tastes. I can respect it, just not for me. I hope he enjoys it, rather have an R8 or gtr if I had that kind of money. Just my :twocents:

Edit: I can guarantee that guy wasnt tracking it....

Hey quick question about claying. What am I supposed to be using as a lubricant? Detail spray? Waterless wash?

Edit: Never mind. Answered my own question.

Well, since I just got my Z back to WA yesterday, I would really like to have a nice weekend drive... But I forgot it rains like every freakin day here :shakes head:. That's one thing I'll miss about Texas, is the nice sunny days.

How did the HFC install go? Did you do it or did you have a shop handle it?

My friends offered to do it for me. It was a PITA, but they got. Only broke two extensions in the process. :icon17:

I always just assume they do that because they don't know how to properly drive a stick :stirthepot: :icon17:
