Early Christmas here, my Nismo front bumper arrived yesterday, along with the Nismo side skirts and front inner fenders. Checked shipping and my VIS hood should be here on Friday. Waiting for dealership to let me know all the other components for a Nismo conversion have arrived. Trying to set up for all bodywork to be done this winter. WOO Hoo!!!!!

Washed and waxed her! I also "borrowed" my Gf's fancy camera and tried to take a few quick pics, maybe later I'll get her to give me a few pointers, but for now this is the best I can do! :)

Bought headlight covers. Removing headlights for ultimate weight savings.

Gadgetech 12-11-2013 06:09 PM

Had character added to mine...rock chip on hood and windshield now. Going with the less is more...yes I'm being overly dramatic.

Well today was a COLD day temp below freezing early in the morning. So I worked from home instead of commuting for 1 1/2 hr.(not in the Z). However it was sunny and dry during the day(40ºF), so I got the itch and out of the garage to a quick trip to the Post Office.

Finally got time to install my fog light and rood vinyl.

Now just need to find time to install my Swifts :happy dance:

Washed the car and plastidipped the fangs. Painting spacers later on tonight and installing swift springs and 20/25 spacers this weekend. Still haven't decided if I wanted to plastidip the rear valance.

Don't plastidip your spacers, BBQ paint them if you want, but not plasti dip

Lol. I wasn't going to use plastidip on spacers. I bought matte black caliper paint for it.

Back home after a trip to frozen Cali and semi frozen Fort Worth. Washed the Z, to get rid of a week of dirt, only to have to scrape ice this morning....

OldFart 12-13-2013 12:04 PM

RonRizz 12-13-2013 03:51 PM

company christmas party today at hollywood casino, beautiful sunny day, so i decideto tear the cover off and pull her out of the garage. I hit the interstate, and am cruising along around 75mph in moderate traffic, but passing steadily as i go. In my rear view I see 2 knuckleheads swerving in and out of traffic at a pretty good clip. As they approach me to pass, I yield to the slow lane to let them by. the first car, an older mitsu eclipse quickly passes, and slows, pulling in front of me... I know what hes thinking, I just can't understand WHY he's thinking it! lol. The second car, a hyundai veloster pulls along side of me, And I'm trying hard not to look over. They both pull away, crazy as before. after a minute or 2, I get a clear shot to scoot around the remaining traffic, and the highway is clear as far as I can see, except for guess who, now down to around 60mph, and single file in the slow lane. By the time I catch up (not that I was trying), and pass them, I jump into slow lane, and they bolt out to the left, and race up next to me. I'm keeping my cool, because I know whats up ahead..... A strech of about 2 miles straight, wooded on both sides, and no place for a trooper to sit....I'm at around 60 when I finally look over at the guy in the eclipse. Him and his buddy look like they are gonna **** bricks egging me on. I drop into third, and give a little blip, and off he goes. Now I 'm standing on it as I easily overtake them both once I go to 4, then 5.about a mile goes by quite fast, and they are WELL behind me. I never even looked down at the speedo, but I was haulin' As#. I brake, and they finally go by, and just kept on their merry way. Not even a wave, a honk, nothing. Sore losers.

Isn't it interesting how some cars (Z, my wife's 328(???)) bring the idiot out of other people?

I concur!

Fountainhead 12-13-2013 07:00 PM

I love it when guys in those Mini Coopers with racing stripes ( I like those cars btw) punch it and pass me as if they have something to prove, and this is between downtown red lights. Man stupid is everywhere.
I won't even dignify that with a response.

OldFart 12-13-2013 07:16 PM

Just took hood home, was hoping to get to my storage before they locked the gate. Nope :( so I now have a hood sitting in my kitchen for the next few days with the snow storm coming. WAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
