Some info, I recently had my steering lock replace. My previous steering lock did not make a noise, this is supposed to be a newer design so idk if the noise is normal for this new design.

 You've already been hit with this once and you still haven't pulled the fuse?!?!? There's a guy that had his replaced 3 times before he did the cut wire fix (before the fuse fix was known). Even the latest revision can fail...

The steering lock is a known problem on 2009 through mid-2011 production years. I purchased mine in Mar 2011 and I have a steering lock. After mid-2011 it's gone and the fuse box just has a blank spot where the fuse would have been.

Rob, there are no warranty issues with removing this fuse. Do not be afraid - it is very, very easy and straightforward. If the dealer ever gave you crap about the missing fuse just point them to your receipt for the previous replacement and the numerous threads on this forum and then tell them to go to hell.

In fact, I am gonna ask Nissan dealership to pull the fuse for me at next service. See what they'd say.:icon18:

I keep getting emails for $25 off my 30K mile service. I just recently did an oil change and I have Friday scheduled to do fluid swaps across the board and I have an in-cabin air filter. I am incredibly curious as to what they would try to quote me if I took it in for service after all that and told them I don't need any fluids or in-cabin air filter :icon17:

They would probably drain the existing fluids and give you the car back :bowrofl:

Gale are those aftermarket gauge faces?

dmhenderson 01-16-2013 09:46 PM

Seeing how one has "turbo" printed on it, I'm going to go with "yes"

Yes, not the best photo. Defi boost, oil pressure, oil temperature.

Here's a shot while the dash was out,
