Default Touring vs Base Differences...

Other than the Leather seats/suede door panels and the bose audio system, is there any other differences between the Base and Touring model?

If you took a Base.. added the leather seats and door panels... overhauled the audio system.. would it be identical to a Touring that had the audio system overhauled?

I believe the touring has power driver seat as well and maybe dual climate control. Not sure about the last one.

While an interesting read, nissanusa.com may be a bit more useful to the OP.

??

Not asking if its worth it. I'm asking if the difference is limited to the seats and audio system. that's all nothing more.

There won't be the hook ups for the Heated part of the seat in a Base model. And the retrofit cost isn't worth the improvement. You'd be better off getting a $10 heating pad from autozone.

Essentially Yes, if you bought a base model, and upgraded the stereo to above bose standards, and put in your own leather seats, you'd have a touring model for less than buying one.

I'm actually interested in this as well. The data I find on NissanUSA.com does not match other sources. :\

This. The sports package is a better deal and Touring adds nice creature features but I wanted touring as I'm old. When I was young I could have cared less.

Get the sports package.

-Not sure what you mean by "upgraded stereo" but to clarify...the Navigation Package is an additional $2K to the Touring Package. I have a 2012 Touring and Sport Package with Bose stereo and blue tooth but no nav, hard drive, usb or video hookups. So I have the upgraded stereo but no nav, etc.

Apparently the map pocket behind the passenger seat (!) is Touring only and the aluminum trim refers to the pedals. There are also Alcantara door inserts (I think they look better but get dirty).

Overall I think the reasons to get Touring are leather seats and Navigation - if you don't get the Navigation, I'm not sure it's worth it.
