after market seats: airbag sensors?

So I was getting a quote for labor for swapping out my seats and the guy mentioned an airbag bypass resistor being needed or my airbags will not work with the new seats. I was thinking of getting Corbeau LG1 seats. Does anyone know what I would need to do to have the airbags work? Where can I find this airbag bypass resistor? My friend also mentioned that the passeneger seat has a weight sensor module that needs to be swapped over tot he new seat as well...

Actually you do not need the resistor, your steering wheel & side airbags will still work. The resistor is to trick the system into thinking you still have the seat airbags which you will not anymore. The passenger seat is just a small pad which detects weight. I actually didn't know that the steering wheel air bag would still deploy even with error in the system, that's good to know....

SRS rest is kinda tricky on some cars so i suggest you just get the resistor and jam it into the harness and e-tape it. 33ohms or something, right? (check the DIY).

I would still do the resistor no matter what, want to make sure all systems stay in check.

problem for passenger seat you would still need the sensor pad....... disassemble the whole lower pad............

I have corbeau A4 seats and u do have transfer the weight sensor over .. Once u do that and the airbag sensor trick your good to go ..
