No it's not a defect on the rim, it's the plastic they put on the rims to keep them from getting scratched in transit. Lol you can relax, I had to take alot of mine but trust me it does come off.

All my fellow 2013 owners!! I have a crazy issue with my sport package wheels that is driving me nuts! I have a thread about it. Please look at it when you get a chance! Any input will be appreciated. I hope it's not an issue with ALL 2013 SPORT PACKAGE WHEELS...

ak, I special ordered 2 13Z's exactly the same, one from Tony the other from New City Nissan. The one at Tony came in a month earlier than New City so I went with that one. I think you may now have the other one. I'm really enjoying the Z, where about do you live? I'm in the Kaimuki/Palolo area

Unfortunately my car was rear ended last night. Long story short, guy decided to squeeze between a bus and my parked car. Ended up pushing my car 10 ft forward screwing up my passenger front wheel as well

I am so sorry to hear that ak. I know as car enthusiasts we do our best to maintain our cars as well not affect the others around us. But unfortunately idiots are plentiful. Hope it can be repaired like new and get you back on the road again.
