Well said, PaulZ370!

Have owned 66 and 1984 Mustangs, the latter an SVO--fine little road and track car. Had 59 heavy-mod Vette, 450hp, and a 427 68 , and a 1984. The Z is a much better auto all around, with the advantage of decades of engineering development.

Spray front with Rain-X bug and tar protectant before heading into bug country and it will wash right off.

I live near Orlando Florida, but I found my Z in Rochester, NY. I flew up to get it and drive it back down, I think it was 2100 miles. Not a fun trip to do by yourself, but it gave me time to get acquainted with my name baby!

12,000 coast to coast then a bunch more making stops detour and just plain taking the long way everywhere

My longest was from Seneca Il to Branson MO for BransonZFest last year. Which is 1000miles round trip, then add all of the fantastic driving roads during the week that we toured around on for hours I would say almost 2k total then.

Charlotte NC -> Raleigh NC -> St Louis Mo. about 1,400. Base with cloth seats. Very comfortable. Hit some terrible thunderstorms coming through the Appalachians and the car held the road fine. I saw many other wrecks.

All loaded up and ready to go on my trip to Texas. I originally thought I might have room for a passenger... NOT.

I will take off just after i get some sleep. Hope to be there tomorrow in the late night.

Well I made it to Dallas and now I am on my way back to California.

I made pretty good time. I left at 7 PM in California and Arrived at 7 PM in Texas. It was 22 hours (due to the 2 hour time difference). I drove strait there minus bathroom/food breaks and one 1.5 hour nap. It was 19 hours of driving.

I am now in Amarillo, TX and heading to Albequerque.
