I fix cars like that every day at work,it's bad but no where near total just find a reputable body shop and it will be as good as new.

Now (SPOHN)Chris car that's a different story.

I dunno man... those unibodies are pretty easy to destroy... 3 wheels, full suspension, frame, rear, driveshaft (i'd assume), rear body (you know the trunk is all screwed up so new plastics and metal there), as well as what appears to be airbags if I am seeing it correctly which could mean new seats... that is getting awfully damn close. Maybe not in part value but labor is gonna be up there. They may total it out. Looks like there could also be some front end/undercarriage damage from going up the curb... prob needs a new air dam, splash shield and whatever else ran across that curb.

For OPs sake I hope they do total it.

Also in when I had a small accident, I asked my insurance company about diminished value payment and they said they don't do that... I am sure that is standard response but it wasn't worth the fight.
