maximum wheel torque occurs in first gear, we don't have traction issues either. So first gear it is :)

1st runs out too quickly so it has to be 2nd

Reverse is the best gear & my favorite....... Man you will be in your seat for sure.

I would have to say from 2nd to 3rd...i dream about it.

Coming from a Acura TL, all the gears are my favorite but if i had to pick it would be 2nd gear :P

It's got to be the shift to 2nd. I love hearing the rear tires screech to 2nd and that long stretch of power before shifting to 3rd! Sounds great from the outside too!

Park.....I seem to get the best gas mileage in that gear...

Anyway I would also say 2nd gear is my favorite because as others stated first is just too short.

Psch....... FO SHO. Hell I get a little over 40mpg in P which isn't park, but is Performance. So take that Prius.


:iagree: Shhhhh......... Don't tell anybody about the R-Mode. If you pass up 3k on the rmps in R-Mode you will get an extra 100hp plus 36mpg. ;)

2nd is great for smaller windier roads and the kick is almost as much as 1st but without being jerky if you aren't that careful. 1st can spin tires if yours are worn or if you have some mods. I think stock, the gearbox was designed very well because it seems like you are on the limit of spinning tires but it's all grip.

Its all grip because of the lack of torque lol. I would have to say second though because first is too short and I got the tires to chirp going into second

Ummmm isn't it all grip because of tcs, vdc, and lsd? If I take vdc off all grip is definitely harder to attain in 1st.

Winding out third and shifting to fourth sounds like a good answer, but I just love second gear.

I feel like I cant even remember anymore... however id say spinning the tires into 3rd and winding it out.. after the TTs im guessing 4th :driving:

Definitely 2nd. 1st feels so weak and short to me.

I particularly enjoy making the downshift from 4th to 2nd in a turn and then roaring to 3rd :D

Also when I jump on it, the gauge goes to Full.......Then sadly it goes to empty when I let off.

The reserve red area starts with 4 gallons left :eek:. That way you have 24 to 37 miles to get to the Pits...

But the rush and the sound is Intoxicating...:eekdance:

i think my reverse would spin as well, but dont feel like going backwards in time.

Yes, I like the lower gears.. Since speeding is Illegal, i like to get all my fun at lower speeds. Both cars..

If speeding was legal, I would probably love 7th Gear in the 370Z..

But for me, the lower gears are the most fun...

I say all gears in my car but the most fun is 3rd to 4th.

600RWHP sport/touring 370z.

1st to 2nd I think mainly because I get a nice "pop" when I shift around 3K

But I think due to SRM I just love to downshift whenever I can lol

Did you guys know you can take 90 degree turn in 6th and not downshift? I swear this 6 speed is amazing. Nothing like the old manuals (muscle cars from 60's and 70's)! Annnddd-it accelerates amazingly in 5th! Woo hoo! God i love this car!

1st and second end too quickly. I like 3rd because it pulls hard and gets you up to near 100mph quick

i also like 5th because it pulls good from 80ish and will take you past 150

Get some RE-11's (or better) and take out most of the rear negative camber and you'll be amazed at how much traction you get.

1st is still a bit useless but I stick pretty well in second. So for me it's 2nd and 3rd.

1st gear is useless on some roads for me. When it does hook, 1st and 2nd gear put a big smile on my face.

I don't have twin turbos but I do have 4.08 gears w/ RE-11's and adjusted rear alignment.

I like first gear from low speeds: top gear is always good for high speed (100 mph +)
