Mine was monday - just had the slave cylinder replaced on saturday and i was really putting it thru its paces for the first time. At 75mph, the police lights came on. 75 in a 30. Cop took to my info, came back and said "I like the car so your getting a break today" and handed me a written warning. Hands down, best compliment ever. If he had been an american muscle car kinda guy, i'd probably be making sure not to pick up the soap right about now or risk having my colon turned inside out like a dirty sock...

Someone told me the other day, dude your car is the "truth". I said huh? They said yeah its cuz any car that goes against the truth always faces defeat. :roflpuke2:

Couldnt believe it sunday I had a mazda3 2.5 follow me for a bit then fly up next to me, give me the "yeah bro" then settle back in behind me. Funny because those cars r normally tring to race me for some reason. Not the mazdaspeed 3 but the regular ones. Oh well...

I have only been able to spot 3 in West Michigan. A few 350's also. It is not a car you see out in the wild around here very often. I get a lot of people chatting me up at the gas station which is actually nice for the most part (not long winded). I usually get freakin bored pumping gas anyways.

Well I got a nice compliment last night. I recently switched to third shift at work and no one has really seen the Z. I pulled into the employee parking lot last night and a nurse said "Ohh, the doctors parking lot is up there, you don't have to park out here with us." I then had to introduce myself as the new 3rd shift IT guy. She actually looked at my badge to verify lol. I found it nice.

My wife took the Z to work and some guy on the next shift she has never seen before came walking straight up to her and said, "Is that your Z out front?"
She said, "well, it's my husbands"
He said, "will you marry me?"
She said, 'No"

I'd put this on top of my list:

Left home early enough to get to work by 8AM. Jumped on the fwy and it was packed. Traffic news says an accident on the 210 jamming the 5. What normally took 25 minutes ended up being 1:15on the road with 5 minutes to go.

Along Tampa Blvd 3 blocks before I turn right, I took off from the stop light going from the left lane onto the right lane but accelerated pretty quick to beat everyone else. As soon as I got to the middle lane out comes a black and white with his lights flashing. I did not even see him and was caught off guard by this. To be honest I did not know if I even went above the speed limit (45), all I knew is I got there fast. I stopped just before the next light and I was mad at myself ready to tell the officer I'm sorry, you got me. I was also thinking great, I have no plates in the front, car's pretty loud, I'm gonna get a hefty fix it ticket on top of a speeding ticket.

Officer steps out of his car, with his partner sitting inside, officer came to my side smiling and stuck his hand out to shake mine, all while I was telling him how sorry I was and you got me. Told him about the traffic I was just it and rushing to get to work, etc. He was talking over me at the same time saying no, no, you're cool. I just wanted to stop you because I'm car guy and I love what you did with your car.....and that exhaust, it sounds really good. I'm not giving you a ticket. I'm just a car guy and my partner even knows that, so you're cool. How lucky can I get! I WAS SO HAPPY!!!! and grateful. I said cool! we can talk about cars all day long Officer xxxxxxx. He asked Where did you get that exhaust? I told him it was made by Fast Intentions in Simi Valley. He said it sounded really good. When you took off, I had to stop and talk to you about it.. In my excitment, I offered to give him two $10 gift cards from work that I readily hand out when I meet people and I was thinking to myself, oh ****, I hope he does not think it's a bribe, I was just happy. He turned it down of course. He said no you're cool. I told him how cool he was and gave him my business card and said let's connect and talk about cars. We can even go to a car meet if you want. He said, cool and shook my hand and let me off. I waved back his partner sitting in the patrol car. I drove off laughing at myself and what just happened the rest of the way to work.

This my friends is the best compliment I had so far.

^That moment you feel frustration, fear, excitement, nervousness, hopefullness (not to get a ticket), anticipation, confrontational, apologetic, sorrowful, and sad ALL AT ONCE IN 0.25 seconds. :icon17:

cool, but the cop should not be pulling you over just to compliment you about your car. abuse of power imo
