Thanks everyone. Just got the police report last night. The guy causing the accident was 75 years old. He was ticketed for Failure to Yield Right of Way Turning Left. Police report diagram is almost identical to the one I put up a few days ago, description and all. Hopefully I can get a rental today because I need to go back to the doc for more pain meds. And btw, even though I work from home, my manager and director both strongly suggested that I take the rest of this week off to recover...so looks like I'll just be chillin'...Z-less for a while...

Default Seatbelts

I like the fact that the 135i has all the extras, and I definitely know how much easier it is to tune / modify for big gains, considering it's already TT from the factory. However, as of right now, I don't like the look of the 135i. Same deal with the Subaru's and Mitsubishi's, they just don't have the look that I like. Don't get me wrong, I know they can be made into beasts, but they just aren't for me. There are a few other cars that I will probably test drive, but as of right now, my plan is to upgrade to a nicer 370Z than I had.

and to answer the question, I was wearing my seatbelt, and yes I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Seatbelt burn
Gotta wear em. Glad you did.

The base brakes are just as good as the sport package brakes in normal driving. Larger brakes/rotors/calipers have increased thermal capacity and can cycle constant hard braking better. Once you have enough brake force available to overcome tire traction, adding more won't make a significant difference.

...and as for the tires...they are the same type/model/brand as the ones on the Nismo, just not as wide (about a 1" difference).

You're lucky he/she admitted fault because they could have easily claimed you lost control of your car and headed towards oncomming traffic.

Glad you're okay

Hopefully final pics...

Where the old man's Camry hit the rear of my car

On a brighter note, this was sitting for sale on the same lot, he either said he wanted 190k or 109k for it. I couldn't help but get a few pics... He didn't want me to get too close to it, so I didn't get any pics from behind since it was pretty close to the fence.

^^it looks pretty sweet. About the 135i though, they are nice and quick. My best friend has one and he loves it, its not very reliable though. His warranty ran out late April or early May and his car has already been in the shop twice since then. So its been about 1500 in repairs in the past month.

Interesting, maybe he thinks someone that has no idea what the M400 is, will come by and buy it

^^Sorry, I put that comment in a bad spot. I was referring to me getting too close to the M400. He said the alarm would go off There was no other damage to the rear of the Z besides what is shown in the pics.

That looks crazy, well at least you were able to walk away from the accident. The car looks pretty bad and totaled I am sure.
