I know my friends who had a G35 with brembos and a touring 350z without them swapped the calipers before trading in at a chevy dealer, so its not out of the question that could have happened, but not on a new car. In fact, anyone thinking of trading in their sport package car would do financially well to swap brakes + cash with a base person near them if trading in, especially at a non nissan dealership.

WOW....... Those crazy MOFO SOB's. I'm glad they set things straight for you. The bigger rotors & brakes look 10x's better than the small brakes/rotors.

For a while there you may have been driving around one of the fastest stock versions of the 370Z since the tiny breaks are less mass to spin at launch and the 7AT is so damn quick! I guess you'll never know!

Dealer def tried to pull a fast one on you. I would check your bill of sale, and if you still have it, your window sticker. Dealerships don't just have a full set of brakes for the Z just laying around. Heck, I needed touch-up paint and they had to order it.

Holy crap balls!!!! I would be suuuuper Pissed! I am mad just reading this.
Good thing they fixed it, but I would have to question why in the first place. Deffinately would let them know it is BS and I wouldn't be back to that dealer. |

No offense, but you need to be really clueless to not know if you have the sport package or not. Wheels/Tires, Brakes, Spoilers, Side Skirts, LSD. Come on.

Why would OP lie? Usually people don't claim they were scammed if they weren't. It isn't something to be proud of.I don't think it is reluctance, it is indifference. Not sure what everyone wants pictures of... everyone has seen 19" Rays with base brakes haven't they? Sorry I just don't see what OP needs to prove to us. |

Yeah but the guy said the dealer found his brakes... unless he has sports and they are going to swap them for base (that would be amazing) I don't think they would admit that anything was wrong unless OP was correct that he did not have sport brakes installed.
I get wanting to see pics PRIOR to the dealership admitting they fouled up but people accusing him of lying afterwards sort of confuses me. |
