ive seen a few rolling around in my area and it looks like a fun car but it also looks pretty stupid at the same time. im in the last phase of deciding which hatch to go with (will not be selling my G or Z btw). if i dont want to spend money on this pos dd, would a cube be a good candidate? something cheap in 18K range (new).

if i do spend some cash, it will be a new MS3 or GTI 5door. and i will be buying cash.

I have heard that its stereo is pretty good. Handling and power are poor.

hahaha.

yah, i did motor both sat and sunday and got some footage. im testing out a new mic location for my tascam behind the passenger seat. it's got nice exhast note but im picking up a lot of road noise..especially the hammering from cement parting lines.

i also want to check out if gopro found a way to fix this minor repetitive static clicking i hear when external mic is connected. it's almost like a ground loop problem. the one i got last week was worse than the one i currently have.

Well I was going down a road I've not been on by myself. It was kind of curvy and had no median so I was focused on the road and not the speed limit signs. Got clocked doing 67 in a 45. Who puts a 45mph speed limit on less than a mile section of highway?! Can you say speed trap? Either way, I didn't know I was going that fast, I was looking down at my phone nav and looked up to see a cop.

Yuck. That seems pricey considering I got a $185 ticket for 50 in a 30 last year (on a road where the speed limit drops from 50 to 30 suddenly - such bull$hit ). I would take gurney's advice and call up a traffic attorney to see what they can do for you.

Yes the Mic location on our cars is tough. My observation is windshield picks up wind noise, hatch area picks up road noise from wheel Wells. I wonder if mounting it externally by tail pipes is good idea? That may create too much noise though.
