Ha. Perhaps I am possibly kidding. Or not. I guess.

onzedge 07-08-2012 02:09 PM

I did nothing with the Z today, but I washed the Juke. My wife is hilarious. She thinks it's a barrel of laughs when she sets the alarm off when I am bent down near the front wheels as I am drying. It is nerd scientist humor I suppose.

Still, she gets me almost every time.

My 2 year old says " Hi Z", then I beep my key fob. He thinks my car is one of his best friends. Not mean funny like the alarm, but still kinda funny... And awesome!

The installation is rather easy but a bit tricky, mainly on the covers for the Map Lights and Vanity Mirror.

Anyway, will write up something in details later on....

Mr.kenchan, I have to conclude the Prius drivers are maybe all driving in their own world and time-zone. And it seems this hybrid technology is slowly 'invading' into their brain/mind thus they are being a hybrid a.k.a. Bi-Polar... :eekdance:

:bowrofl: :bowrofl: jk jk.. please... don't put my into the Prius List... :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

Today I made the wheel liner vent for the oil cooler and the scoop/vent for the splash pan. It was 100 deg f. in Houston on Friday and even driving like an senile citizen my oil temp is hitting 250 deg f. I also did the mod that removes the hot water lines from the throttle bodies.

Washed and waxed the Z today and then tested out the gopro cam mounted low on the front bumper. A little more shaky in this position, but def like this angle better - plus you can hear the engine better.

Not a damn thing!

Srenity 07-08-2012 09:08 PM

Motored the Z to NAPA and picked up Redline 5W-30 for oil change along with Redline MT-85 and 75W-90 to change the tranny and diff fluid as well. Not sure if I want to tackle the fluid change during the week or next weekend. Work is going to be booked this week so most likely it will wait until the weekend. Plus the GF is in Germany for work so I will have all weekend to kill so this job fits the bill.

I took mine to Nissan to have it done and they charged me 40 bucks labor for the trans and the differential. I liked having it up on a lift to help get all the fluid drained. I took them the oils -- the same oils you mentioned. I also like having this service in their records.

Also -- do not forget you need the drain and fill plug washers replaced.

Scrubbed the bugs off from a long road trip. The fangs are a great bug collector. Very happy with the clear bra at this point.

lol, wow i feel like im abusing my Z compared with how many miles you have....gonna be rolling up on 23K by the end of this month in mine. Have to say though i did notice after about the 20K mark things really started to feel smoother with the engine and transmission, way less noise heard from both transmission and engine after i hit the 20K mark and a more pronounced growl from the exhaust, really liking it :D

Thanks for the input. I had not considered needing to replace the washers.
