Very sorry to hear this. Hang tough and take good care of yourself. No shortage of good fun cars if the Z has to go. Your happiness is more important overall.

Normal day for me. Kinda wet warm day. Easy drive to and from work. Hopefully tomorrow I can detail the machine up :)

Well that answers it then! I don't mind bonding with my Z on that level. And living rent free.

I gave her a much needed nice sudsy bath. I told her that she was a dirty girl and she replied that it was my fault, that I had made her dirty! Oh she's so bad!

You know....I have a love/hate relationship with the after-bath QD. The QD gives her that extra pop, but I find it to be the "coming to Jesus" portion of the wash where all truths are laid bare. Any new chips are poignantly obvious at QD time. :crying:

Did you spank her ?

Made sure she was Well Lubricated ?

I think I will moderate myself now before the real Moderator does...

Well as I luxuriated her in suds, I massaged her from head to hips. The rest is too soul-baring to mention here! :rofl2:

You know....while it was warm when I started cleaning my girl this morning...it became catastrophically hot by the time I was finished. I didn't know whether to toss my cookies and pass out or perhaps to pass out THEN toss my cookies. Either way it was pure unadulterated Hell! :barf:

The temperature is 82 here in my town with 45% humidity. However, the skies are perfectly clear so the sun is intense and the weather feels hotter outside. Yesterday reached 95 degrees, and the wife and I were playing tennis in it and the humidity was bad, too. It was fun, though.

This morning, I got out in the heat to dig a plot for one of my cats -- Prince. He finally succumbed to the affects of diabetes, following behind his brother, Bear, who also passed away a year ago, because of the same condition. I was out there digging, but had to take a break. Then, I got back out there about a half hour ago, and dug some more. I thought that it was deep enough so I returned to the house for a reprieve. We'll miss the big guy. :( Surviving Prince is his mom, Mittens, and sister, Wolfee.

bbigby64 07-05-2012 04:07 PM

On another note, I've been having fun driving the Z. Since I'm on vacation, I should really work on getting rid of the paint chips on the hood. I bought the Dr Color Chip kit and it's sitting there, waiting for me to get started. :shakes head:

Thanks. Yeah, it's hard. However, having gone through it with his brother, Bear, we were more prepared and made peace with Prince inevitable passing long before he reached his end. With Bear, it caught us by surprise. We thought that he looked better losing some wait; he was too fat anyway. However, when the weight kept coming off, and he started to look skinny, we knew that something was up. We took him to the vet, and she said that he's diabetic. My wife and I were like  Diabetic?? We administered insulin to him but it didn't appear to work. We had to put him to sleep 2 weeks later. He was just ailing too much. That was hard. :(

Yeah. I figure it's cheaper than painting the entire and hood bumper, and that it will do a sufficient job.

All I can say is to ........Actually all i can say is Sorry you are going through it..

:iagree: It's a tough situation and every couple has a different outcome. My wife and I had our period of darkness (9 years ... years 3 through 12) ... so to speak ... but found a way back. It wasn't easy. What happened between us could destroy 99% of marriages. However, we remained together, albeit for different reasons, but in the process, we rediscovered each other, and soldiered on.

Over the years, we grew in different, but important ways ... ways that enabled us to love each other again. Every marriage has challenges and annoyances. We cope in our own ways. We're now in year 24 and are adapting to living without young kids. Our son is now 20.

I would say this. Before you walk away, make sure that you AND YOUR SPOUSE have done everything that one can reasonably expect. However, if you're not on the same page with visible action, then do what you need to do.

Hi Mr.kenchan :hello:

Today I found my cup-holder-thingy jammed into my mail box. :shakes head: Good thing it's well packaged! It's very well made, much better than I was expecting. And my unit stands straight up

Yeah, I just said that! :bowrofl:

I just need to add a bit of foam or a cloth because the Zoom is too thin to fit securely, no biggie.

Thanks for the recommendation

hi mr.gale. :hello: sounds good that you got your cupholder thingie and stands straight. :rofl2: you might want to try making a tripod mount for your zoom if you your zoom has a tripod mount hole? :)

for mine i just drilled 2 holes into the base and mounted a thin piece of metal with the tripod knob and e-clip on the other side so my knob doesn't fall off. :rofl2:

on the base, i added some 5mm thick weather seal stripping blocks on the bottom half of the part of the base extenders. this is to prevent the extenders from holding onto the painted cupholder ring on the Z. that part vibrated on my car in certain frequencies when the tascam was attached.

after pulling out the cupholder assembly i pulled apart the painted ring and put a piece of e-tape sandwiched between the painted trim clip part and the base plastic for a secure fit. you'll know wat i mean if you pull your cupholder assy out of the center console and see the passenger side of the ring. yours might not vibrate though with your zoom attached. :)
