i speak from experience running that intake long time ago, but that kit runs pretty hot vs the stock system or similar systems such as R2C. the heatsheilds are not very effective, dont fit right in the 370Z unless forced, as they were made for the G37's.

Get the K&N Typhoon, I like mine very much so far, the gain on performance is decent...

Thanks Kenchan! I'll look into it.

i got a 10mm. my kics 10mm would not sit correctly on the disc so i decided to try another brand from japan. :p my G's front wheel is slightly sticking out from the front bumper so i want to tuck that in for cleaness and improve mpg.

np, if you can still change it, i recommend R2C (had good experience) or the typhoon intake mr.alcheng uses, or keep it stock and get post MAF tubes and K&N drop-ins (what i currently run). works great.

My UpRev was $550 and the only thing I needed to bring was my Z. You don't have to buy anything else. They use a laptop and upload stuff into your ecu and you use your cruise control buttons to flip thru the various maps that the tuner sets up for you.

Here I sit at MSP airport -- far too early for my flight. I saw this on the drive down today and I am not quite sure what to think of it.

Hey Kenchan, Do you think if I later swap out my pop charger to k/n or some other, I'll have to retune??

SurfDog 07-30-2012 03:10 PM

Perhaps that area is there to help you mass the time before your flight???

Typo:
*pass* the time.

probably not. when they tune usually the hood is open and blow air via large fan to keep things cool. which means your IAT will be cooler than wat the popcharger would do in real world with hood closed. :)

SurfDog 07-30-2012 03:12 PM

Awesome.

I'll run these for awhile due to my car is in shop and I'm leaving to Denver on plane. Perhaps I'll swap them later if I fond like the performance. Thanks for the input. This forum is always a huge help!!!
