I am the same way..I gotta keep busy..

I started exercising again to get my mind and body right again..Sucks more than sitting around, but I feel better..

Just so damn Hot that I have to do it early...

Gotta go exercise, and I will check in later..

Start a list of goals you want to achieve this year...Just a small one. It will get your mind focused..

I have to , otherwise I see something shiny and go"oh look, something shiny", and I forget what I am doing.

And try to eat right...I found the worse I eat, the more depressed that I got...

I have been working out of my funk too..So far so good...

My main issues are that I don't enjoy doing things alone. I hate it, I fear it. But I suppose it's time to get over that if I intend to be truly happy with anyone else in the future. I'm going to look into going back to school, might pick up a second job to help me and going to look into branching out beyond my comfort zone and making new friends. But I don't want to weigh this thread down with all my personal stuff. :icon17:

How is everyone's Friday going? :)

You need to be happy with yourself first. "Be comfortable in your own skin" is advice I have been given repeatedly by many folks in my life and I believe it to be true.

Lame that you need a license to own/buy. Constitution is your license.

There are many in power who seem to think that the Constitution is meaningless. Shame on them and God Bless America.

:iagree: but this state is horrible with gun laws. I'm not sure about other states but here When You do buy a gun, after showing the license, you.must then wait 72 hours from.time of purchase To actually take possession.....

This is for handguns, shotguns are 24 hours.

Watched "John Adams" marathon on July 4, reminded me of what this country was founded on. It's a shame that we've lost our way so badly. Admittedly, even the original constitution was imperfect. That's why it has been amended so many times. But many of the basic tenets are still vital today :usa:

Pint, never worry about weighing us down.

I hijack more threads, than a Cuban hijacked planes in the 1970's...

Mmm..Comfortable in your own skin...More comfortable in the Interior on the 370Z..

Every time I open the door, I think damn that ain't no 350Z.

Just curious, but what camera system are you using, and does it use a pc as the DVR, or do you have a dedicated DVR? Are the cameras hard wired or wireless?

no DVR attached as i dont feel like looking at footage of birds and leaves blowing in the wind. i have it setup to record using motion detection. it sends me a snap shot photo with time mark + camera stores the footage for like 30sec or so unless more movement is detected.

it's a wireless to network system. :)

the previous system i had was more of a small-business type with a dvr and while it was great since i only needed to setup one IP for the entire system, it wasn't as flexible as i was stuck with the cameras i got with the system...and their cameras were too SECURITY CAMERA looking.

the current network cameras is just a white box about 3x3". unless pointed out you can't see it from the outside of the house. :p

I'm even more paranoid. Our vehicles are garage kept, locked at all times, all three doors have garage door openers and we intentionally didn't install a man door going from the garage to outside (less points of entry). Basically, someone will need to "unlock" our garage door opener codes (good luck) or smash the crap out of the garage doors themselves (again, good luck), and do all this with my nosy neighbours watching them.

Having said that, I would like 2 cameras. One to monitor my front entry, and one keeping an eye on our fenced in backyard... Just cuz. ;)

hi mr. gale. :hello: yah, no man door is a great idea. ive heard vandals usually break-in from those doors vs the garage door. honestly, i dont think one can actually break through a garage door unless they can wirelessly steal your code.

my security system also works on backup battery power and auto-dials via traditional landline separate from power, so it's pretty fail safe.

hey there, mr.zman! sounds good. garages downtown are usually expensive + if it's an affordable old fashion place, better watch out for mice. they will nest under the hood and eat at your plug wires and other soy-based plastic bits on the car. :ugh2:

I just walked in, found what I wanted, filled out the sales forms, waited ~15 minutes for my background check and went on my way. And I don't really even like the background check because then you end up in a criminal database.

In VA you can buy either from a dealer with an FFL or from an individual in a cash transaction. No background check required for the face-to-face purchase. But I'd rather buy from a dealer to get new, warranty, not shot by the seller, etc. :icon17:
