BTW, how is the mic???? :tiphat:

yah, i think i got some traction now, but i will have to see tomorrow. i shouldn't have to write 4+ emails to get one answer. :shakes head:

as for the mic, the ATR3350 isn't too bad, the sensitivity is much lower vs the sony but it being one capsule vs 2 capsules on the sony, that's expected. :)

i clipped both the sony and ATR3350 to the secret glove box door behind the seat. will take her out for a spin to see how well they pick up the exhaust note. i need to keep it away from the seats where my gopro is mounted as there is some rattling from the headrest posts (inside the seats) over rough roads.

Mr.kenchan, yes, sometimes the Canadian is a bit laid-back a.k.a. slow on responding e-mails & question, have to have some patient... I know.. sometimes I find it's kind of :ugh2: :ugh2:

As for the mic.. are you trying to record the exhaust-note + in-cabin human voice or just the exhaust-note?? I see the ATR-3350 is a MONO mic... maybe you can re-consider those noise-cancellation mono mic, you've been playing with 3-5 different one, no harm to try one more... ;)

Time to string some racquets... :icon17:

I usually don't go for flavored coffee, but Dunkin Donuts Mocha has taken me by surprise. Did I mention that I love my Keurig?

The mic ...i am capturing dialog and exhaust note. The setup I have with the recorder is fine, but wanted to check all options including getting the juicelink which is a preamp for field mics. :)

I am almost certain that a holiday in the middle of the week is a bad idea. I was driving home yesterday from 3 days onsite and I was filled with that "Hooray, it's Friday!" feeling. Dang, it was only Tuesday.

happytheman 07-04-2012 08:25 AM

There's nothing that quite screws with your Friday as much as realizing its only Tuesday! :(

Ive got today and tomorrow off, but not necessarily by choice. It was "strongly suggested" as it were. Oh well, its not like I'm not getting paid.

:usa:Good morning, and Happy Birthday USA.:usa:
