And with only 30K Dollars into my 40 year old car that IS track ready, I can embarrass many a 370Z on the track all day long... For the price of the ZL-1 , I have two cars.. |
580hp, V8, front brake coolers, engine oil cooler, supercharger intercooler, trans cooler, rear end cooler, LSD, 5 position selection for traction and suspension settings (from wet cruising to full on track), electromagnetic shocks, independent rear, two piece brake rotors with 6 piston calipers on front, fully integrated and wind tunnel tested aerodynamics including air extracting hood. 180mph top speed.

http://images30.fotki.com/v478/photo...SC03394-vi.jpg So don't think I'm some Camaro hater or something :-p. My point is just that the arguments about this ridiculous sum to get on the track are kinda silly - the cost to get the Z track ready is less than $1000, total. That's chump change for someone getting on the track - you should know this. This isn't "a lot of work" - its a weekend at most, and for many could be all be done in a single day. |
There was a new gunmetal ZL1 at the car show this morning. I'll get some pics up when I get unlazy. It was nice.

Easier to learn to drive a slow car fast, than it is a fast car fast. |
I wouldn't say that's necessarily true. It's fine learning on a powerful car as on long as you have a lot of open space to spin and not hit anything. :)
