Destroyed, by racing it out, or wrecked! There is a 240Z down the street, she has pink racing stripes on it! Around the block, a 240Z sits in a back yard, it's a rust bucket! It would be interesting to see how much one would go for auction!

That show ruins cars IMO. Everyone thinks they can get the same price for there cars.

Those sort of auctions don't have many European or Japanese cars period. They focus on the American classic crowd.

Agreed..I don't think I have ever seen anything but American cars being auctioned. That group consist mainly of collector looking for Iconic Cars. Mechum Auctions are basically the same.

You only see a fraction of the cars that sell in that auction on TV. There might be Zs and other cars, but they aren't big money cars. Zs are popular among Z enthusiasts, but not particularly collectible cars otherwise.

Other than American Classics, rod hot's muscle cars, etc it has to be RARE exotic for it to be there it seems, and as already mentioned they mainly show the high dollar stuff.

I've been to Barret Jackson, and honestly... Most of the cool cars are never shown on TV. I had more fun walking around outside and in the other end of the hall checking out cars than I did watching the auction block. There was a car from The Fast and The Furious there the year I went, as well as several older European cars.

Imagine if a car came across the auction block and noone made a bid? What a waste of time for all involved. As it was already said, you only see a fraction of the cars on TV going across the block. Lots of old Lincolns, Caddies, Packards, Dusenbergs, etc. Not what I consider muscle cars.
