Do you think the 370Z is a future classic?

With a rather low number of cars being produced, do you think the 370z could one day become a rare, sought after car. Do you think it has enough of a history, of say, where muscle cars from the 60's are now? I don't know if it's just hanging around the Z guys for so long, but even the 300ZX feels like one of those cars you one day wished you owned...or the original 240Z. Anyway, what do you guys think?

EDIT: Lol, sorry about the poll choices. I figured, if you can't decide now, it's still gonna be a maybe when you're dead. Since the definition of classic car is a subjective thing, lets keep it simple. Do you think there will be 370z fans 40-50 years from now. Is it one of those cars that says, "I'm glad I got the chance to drive one." If you found it in a barn in the year 2052, would you want to spend the money to restore this car to a prestine showroom condition.

Too hard to say right now. Not a ton of them on the road and the economy stinks so maybe. Will largely depend on how they hold up over time.

as with many of the now "classic" eventually yes. surely not right now but all the Classics didnt start off as "classics

i could see the 370 eventually becoming a Classic yes indeed in time.

It will face an uphill battle to classic status, especially when most people just see it as the 350z.2

The hubbub in the press and dreams of ownership are usually requisite for a car to reach classic status.

BRZ = instant classic.

:iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree: Now I need a snack from all that effort.

EDIT: I don't like any of the choices. I am decidedly in the maybe column, but I would prefer if I didn't have to die...:(

I mean it is the most powerful and best Z ever built. Limited production or low production of 370z's also. 350z is almost on every corner of any street. 350z, I feel the only good one was the HR or maybe the Nismo, other than that the 300ZX was probably faster than the other 350's.

it's a poetic and deep observation.

:iagree: I don't like the choices either.

DAMNIT MIKE. :crying:

Hell, the 260z is considered a "classic" bastard child. The 280z is just "classic looking" and first to have turbo from MFR. That car didn't get considered with any words as "classic" until a few years ago.

Too soon to tell for the 370z.

By the time that happens, we probably has hybrid systems that would eat the torque on the Zs. Heck, it's probably be too expensive to run a gasoline powered car when we could get a car that runs on water and trash thanks to the ever so developing flux capacitor.

Your picture confuses me. :confused: I'm not sure I've ever seen a rear windshield wiper on a 370Z. Biased vote forthcoming...
