I picked up the car on a Thursday, drove it for 400 miles before Sunday. My son and I then did an autocross on that Sunday. No babying the car there, I just had fun with it

Op no harm in babying it as directed. Personally I waited untill I had my first oil change before really runnin through some gears.

Personally, I am a believer in a hard break in once everything has come up to temp. The first couple hundred miles is where everything is going to wear clear & set up. In fact, the GTR's engine is red lined from the factory for a full 10 minutes straight. Yes I know the Z does not have a clean room build motor like the GTRs , but you are not red lining for 10 minutes straight either. I have done hard break ins on all my vehicles, bikes trucks & cars with good results.

I know of several motor builders that do the same. Right after the build, throw it on the dyno and run it.

Dealership had the car at ~200 miles in. I redlined out and for the most part home.

This has been discussed, try searching. But essentially there is no agreement

Bought my car, went to the drag strip that night. I was able to put 300km's on it that day before the drag strip.

My advice is, drink a 6pack of redline then put it in 3rd gear and hit the redline all the way home. Its the best way to break in your car. A lil redline in the gastank helps boost power as well.
