It's not rare...
Stop making it sound like we drive a ferrari rofl.

Rare and exotic are two different things. Relatively speaking, our car is definitely rare.

Yeah, Several Porsche's as I remember 2 of the strange looking 4 door ones. I also saw a Masaratti, 2 Ferrari's and several Jags on this trip. When I am home around DFW, I see at least one a day (not including my own).

Not many, maybe one every few weeks and its always like "omg, there goes another one" lol

Even in our VQ Club I'm often the only 370, if its not a car meet...its rare. That must be why when I am next to a Porsche at a stop light, I get more looks. True Story.

Like i said in my post.. I live in So-Cal, you see more than you used to see, but "a dime a dozen"... thats a stretch! :rofl2:

I would say the 370 is definitely uncommon, but not quite rare, at least here in socal. I see a good amount of Zs when I am in the San Gabriel valley area. Used to be mostly 350s, but am gradually seeing more 370s there too, but not enough to say they are common. I see a lot more porsches and m3s in that area than 370s.

When I am in the OC, I see much fewer Zs. There are a ton of stangs, camaros, and now the gen coupe down here, though.

VERY true! just like having a COOL car, and a PRACTICAL car... A BMW M5 is a COOL @$$ car just like a Z is a Cool car, but if you have a family which one is the most practical? THAT is why the Z is not seen as much as a lot of other cars, 2 seaters are NOT a car that a "responsible" set of newlyweds that plan on having a family would think about buying, I've outlined my reasoning on this subject so many times on this board that i'm not even going to go into it again, its very obvious "when" and "why" you can afford to buy and daily drive a 2 seater, lol.

:iagree: The Z is 100% rare. I travel a good amount and trust me I try to spot them and don't see many or any at all. I do see many 350z's though.

brucelidat 05-01-2012 05:47 PM

to regular people, though the 350 and 370 are probably grouped together as the same car more or less. Unless they see them side by side, they probably think they're the same car.

Nismo89 05-01-2012 06:06 PM

at my dealership (the used car lot) they have 5 used 350's. no 370's. meanwhile on the road? other than mine, the longest ive gone without seeing another 370 is mmmm have to think.... 6 months. or more.

Z-Girl 12 05-01-2012 06:11 PM

Very rare in this area...I haven't seen one in a month. I love the rarety in this neck of the woods!!! People still stare at my car and this model has been out for quite some time. I never buy a car mid life or latter life. But because of its rarety I figured it would be a good bet. No regrets.

brucelidat 05-01-2012 06:14 PM

Getting one mid-life, or at least 2nd or 3rdyear works out sometimes. Let's them work out some of the kinks. No oil consumption or steering lock problems with my 2011. And you got an oil cooler in your 201 which is pretty nice.

DeEePiDDy 05-01-2012 06:22 PM

I see silver and platinum graphite ones all the time... I've only seen 1 other Chicane Yellow once in the past 2 years.. There's a black one in my neighborhood.. only seen a blue one twice..
