LOL no need to keep up with Zuperman, he doesn't do offroad, you are way ahead with the B1adesmobile.

Copy cat? I am not a copycat:shakes head:

In seriousness, though, if I owned a car long enough and it was totaled I'd probably replace it with something else. I had the Z for 14 months, so I'd have replaced it with something different if it was totaled then. If the Mustang gets whacked... I would probably get a GTR or something German.

There are just too many cars out there for me to try. Can't stick with one for too long.

WTF, you have kids? I thought you were a kid! ;)

LakeShow 05-01-2012 12:35 PM

I would keep it. Not many cars better than the Z in its price range. If price range changes, then I would probably choose differently.

christian370z 05-01-2012 12:40 PM

If I were to look at comparably priced cars, I would hands down go with the Z. But right now, I want to get back into something with forced induction from the factor and is a bit older which is why I'm likely going to sell the Z and getting into a TT300ZX.

gurneyeagle 05-01-2012 12:46 PM

I most definitely would get another Z, but knowing what I know now, it would be a red Nismo.

I'd add leather seat covers, aftermarket nav system with back-up camera, and have Carbon Element do my interior trim in matte cf.

BigT 05-01-2012 01:10 PM

I wouldn't ONLY because my girl and I are starting to get serious and need the money. I would more than likely purchase a 25k or less vehicle.

However, if I was in the state of mind and reasoning as when I bought it, yes, I don't think there is any other car out there for the money. I love the way it looks, drives, handles, etc.

I was going to get the 2012 camero ss 2 but 2 reasons changed my mind. number one, GM took bailout money, I feel my tax dollars helped save the company that killed the pontiac, (owned an 87 Fiero Gt, 2 66 GTO'S, one ragtop and one hardtop, a 68 Judge, and a 2 Grand Prix's. a 69 and an 87. It's hard for an old "street rodder" to believe they kept the Buick and discontinued the Pontiac.Almost got the 09 Solstice but the Ruby Red Saturn Sky Redline S.E. won me over.Bummers. Reason number 2, I owned a 95 Nissan twin turbo, Awesome car, very fast. Also owned 4 vetts but that was a "had to have thing" I still believe that everyone should own at least one vett in their lifetime.

Wow.. a LOT of simularities... I have also owned a Pontiac Fiero ('86 and couldn't keep it from overheating... mid engined, FRONT mounted radiator with that HORRIBLE plumbing to connect the two was ridiculous in my opinion) was also thinking about buying a Solstice, but the lines on the Sky won me over too, lol. And every since I was a about 10 years old I have wanted to buy a Corvette.... As a matter of fact I just had the "Dreaded Push Start Fail" happen to me on my '09 370Z and its made me start thinking about buying a Corvette Z06, which is about the ONLY car i'd rather be driving than the the 370Z.

DLSTR 05-01-2012 01:33 PM

Yes I would replace it with a NEW 2013 in the new red metallic, 7AT/Sports. NO question! :hello:

Those front bumper mounted "light rails" killed the 2013 for me.. thats gonna be one of those "love em or hate em" stying options like the rear signal lights on the 350's... i didnt like those either. The '09-'12 Z's with the 7AT and Paddle shifters.. perfection!

UNKNOWN_370 05-01-2012 02:30 PM

I considered a solstice, but they cornered shytty, average handling and numb steering. The engine was a dream though. Styling, nice enough to fukk with most sports cars. Clean dash layout but shytty storage. Imho the solstice was a 24k car with a 35k price tag.

sheps58 05-01-2012 02:33 PM

I love my 370z 2010 but

If i could I would purchase a 993 porsche coupe. I think a 911 air cooled Porsche's are great cars.

However, at the the 370 is a great sports car.

I totally agree! The Saturn Sky even handled better than the Solstice and had better lines. But at the 370Z's price point i don't think there is ANYTHING out there that can match its performance, handling/braking or come anywhere close to it in the "looks" department... not even Infinity's "G" series that a LOT of people compare it to. I -STILL- get people that come up and ask "WHAT is that?" and when I respond and say its a Nissan Z some have said things like "I thought that was a newer Porsche" or "Thats a NISSAN", wow!"

People always think mine is a 350Z. :ugh2:

A lot of people aren't familiar with the nomenclature of the Z. Since the 350 ran for a long time, and the 370 retains the same general profile as the 350, most people tend to think it's the "new" 350 model. :icon17:

UNKNOWN_370 05-02-2012 02:38 AM

I get a lot of the 350z thing. But I got a couple of women thinking its a porsche. Lol. But most people think my car costs between $50-60k. Wwhen I tell them it cost me 37k otd, they are shocked and say it looks like its a lot more.

My mom can just barely tell the difference between a 350 and 370 and that's only because she sees my car in the parking lot on a daily basis. :bowrofl:

RiCharlie 05-02-2012 07:44 AM

I definitely would buy a new.. Z although I might look at the Audi R8..Seems like a great car except for the little matter of money..:)

DIGItonium 05-02-2012 08:21 AM

With all the work done and money spent on this car I'd take a break!!!

bdavis89 05-02-2012 12:22 PM

Love the car, so much so that my wife gets mad at me and says I love the car more than her, but I would definitely try something new if someone totaled it by hitting me.

That being said, I plan on driving this car for the next 5+ years, and turning it into my fun third car once we have children..if she lets me keep it that is..:ugh2:

Once you have children you will be driving a chevy suburban.. have fun! :)

igotcabada 05-03-2012 08:48 AM

I would, but I'd probably get a roadster

RiCharlie 05-03-2012 08:51 AM

The results so far show this: Since about 50% of marriages in the US end in divorce and 72 percent of Z owners say they would buy the car again...we can conclude that most people feel more attached to their Z than they do their spouse.. Right??

Works for me. :icon17:

Cell 05-03-2012 09:40 AM

If something were to happen, I would wait to see my future options. A turbo rwd 2 seater sports car with 300+ HP would be awesome to own.

ALTN8NRG 06-26-2012 10:30 AM

I like my Z a lot. I use it as my daily commuter, but it's a lot of stress. Plus I need a winter car, because this one is meant for clear roads (meaning no snow). I get challanged on the daily: teens in their VWs, hondas, a few BMWs, motorcycles.... There are many that admire the car and there are many who hate. Some motorists expect you to perform for them and others dial 911 when they hear the engine rev. lol. Like I'm going fast. It just looks fast. Next car will be a sleeper. lol!

Well put +1 repped

Strangler 06-27-2012 12:07 PM

Probably not. I'd get something else but not sure what to get.

sheps58 06-27-2012 09:01 PM

Porsche 911 maybe

I would probably purchase an air cooled 911 1996-1998 or a Carerra 4. I love my Z but I would want an oil cooler better brakes.

wilsonp 06-28-2012 12:07 AM

I think I'd get a Cayman S PDK - miss the mid-engine.

Many vendors on here sell those great items for this lovely machine! :tiphat:

I never was much of a Porsche guy

OldGuy 06-28-2012 03:48 PM

Third summer with my '09 Z. I'd buy it again, so long as it would continue to be used as fun car for summer driving only. No problems with this beautiful car. I've gotten everything I was promised and all I bargained for. Still getting many compliments everytime I'm out with it.

NYBladeZ 06-28-2012 05:04 PM

No way, loved the Z, highly recommend it to my friends when they go car shopping but by no means is it good enough to be "married" to.
