wow that sucks. i would have the bumper replaced and repainted. dont touch the damage until your insurance claims adjuster sees it and makes full estimate. then you can do watever you want.

i would go ahead and have a good bodyshop start the work right away, pay the deductible and have your insurance agent talk to the girl's insurance (If she doesnt have one, have her parent's insurance cover it, sue them if needed) for your deductible reimbursement.

if you dont want to go through with the process i think you can get most of the scratches out with polish and re-form the bumper with PDR. the paint that chipped off can be fixed for pretty cheap at your dealer probably, using their mobile touchup contractor for used cars.
