Where do you keep your keyfob? (Possibly NSFW)

Well, another random poll . Where do you keep your keyfob while driving your car.

I keep it in the cubby hole and phone goes to the center drink holder. Where do you keep your key fob?

Crash 06-08-2009 08:42 PM

Pocket. I never take my keys out of my pocket unless I'm driving my 300zx. And my phone stays in my pocket too.

theDreamer 06-08-2009 08:43 PM

Pocket, try not to take my keys out unless I need to.

Indy 06-08-2009 08:49 PM

You guys don't have that hole that is meant for the fob?:-S

frost 06-08-2009 08:51 PM

I hate misc stuff in my pocket. Could never stand the feeling. Cupholder for me.

We do but that's ONLY for emergency situation (dead battery). Also, I believe they (our forum members) call it fobgina.:ugh2:

FricFrac 06-08-2009 08:53 PM

I noticed fobgina wasn't an option in the poll - how odd.....

I keep my phone and my fob in my pocket - even my front door to my house is keyless now - its great!

Urban Dictionary: Fobgina

keyless fob

Pocket ever since I left the keyless fob in the lock car. Luckly, it happen at home so was easily retrieve with the space one.

WShade 06-08-2009 09:04 PM

Pocket. But, if I am pocket-less the center round holder in front of the arm rest. I refuse to call it a drink holder as I do not eat or drink in my cars

m4a1mustang 06-08-2009 09:14 PM

Normally keep it in my briefcase but since that wasn't an option I voted pocket, as that's where it is on weekends.

Junior370z 06-08-2009 09:21 PM

I keep mine in my pocket!

How? Recently i forgot o left my FOB inside and i as tried to lock the car with the exterior door handle button it would not let me...then i realized the key was still inside.

OT: Keep it in my pocket with cell in center cup-holder w/screen facing me.

CBRich 06-08-2009 11:35 PM

In my pocket leaving everything in the dust.

Diversion 06-08-2009 11:53 PM

Everything in my pocket.. car does the rest on it's own.. <3 bluetooth FOB and phones.

I have one of these mont blanc keyholders and it goes in to the cupholder along with my cellphone, unless the cupholder is already occupied then it goes into my center console.

ocfoilist 06-09-2009 03:11 AM

Heh...my fob goes stays in my pocket and my iPhone (with the crappy AT&T reception) goes in the cup holder (since that seems to bring it up a bar). But the reception still sucks...I'm hoping that the new firmware upgrades forthcoming with improve the call quality while on bluetooth in the car...

jginnane 06-09-2009 07:22 AM

Is there a secret test to see how long this thread can run before someone mentions "fobgina" and "truck nutz" (aka, 3rd-eye foglight) in the same post?

DONE.

The nerve . . . :shakes head:

I should stick some fuzzy-side velcro around it for effect. That'd be kinda awesome, in a lewd and gross sort of way.

So I'm thinking, "nice keychain, gotta check that out." :ugh2: $$$ Nevermind.

Some of us prefer the clean shaven fobgina look. :rofl2:

TX_370 06-09-2009 12:54 PM

Center cup holder all the way

StLRedrider 06-09-2009 05:16 PM

At $200 a pop, i should wear it around my neck.

jstevenson 06-09-2009 06:25 PM

Part of the thing I love about the car is that I don't have to take my keys out. Combine that with removing the garage door opener from my pocket, and my keyring is looking quiet svelte these days

Do I sense a new 370Z aftermarket accessory coming our way soon? :excited:

AARC51 06-09-2009 07:22 PM

I'm so sick of the panic button on this thing. I've had it accidentally depress in my pocket like 5 times.

I got it as a gift and at first I thought to myself, "when am I ever going to use this?"

Now I probably can't live without it. I no longer have keys crumpled in my pocket and the center has a card holder to put my driver's license and credit card when I go out to the store or gym.

One_Quick_Z 06-09-2009 07:58 PM

I dont know why you would put it anywere else other than your pocket

It definitely looks useful. I'm looking for a ring that makes it easy to detach just what I need so I don't have a pocket full of keys when I just need the car and house key.

Pocket for me as well - and like you, I don't eat or drink in *THIS* car.

In fact, I chewed out my girlfriend a bit for sneaking a drink from a Jamba Juice while we were sitting at a light.

1) I don't want it spilled
2) See #1

I like mine clean...just like it is.

That's just how my 370z rolls, baby!

theDreamer 06-10-2009 01:55 PM

I am a bit surprised there is not a cover for the Fobgina actually, it just hangs out in the open.

I see this thread heading into the NSFW catagory.

initialgemini 06-10-2009 03:40 PM

So when the car hits 14K miles will I have to worry about the FOBgina having some bleeding? :p

I think that starts at about 11K these days. Must be that octane stuff in the gas...
