Found it. You where NE of Iwakuni. Osaka is about in the middle of the two. I flew out of Osaka coming home.

Never got to Tokyo. I did get to Mt Fugi. Me and another Marine tried to climb it but had a severe storm come over the mountain after was where 9/10ths of the way up. We knew it was time to go when we met a stream of Japanese people running down the mountain.
