So, Mr.alcheng, does that mean you're getting another top installed?

Thanks for the GJ Mr.kenchan :tiphat:

They didn't replace the canvas which I was told they replaced it :shakes head:

Today they told me they replaced the 'seam' which is the lining that goes along the edge, which we(three or us) found out they were not replaced. So I show them my confusion by asking them "So what did they do last time when I leave the car here for a week???"

Of cause they won't be able to answer my Q and I wouldn't push them to say something useless, I just told them "Well, make sure this time you guys complete what have to be completed and let me pick up the car."

Of cause I am pissed off, but I won't say anything to upset them before they finished the job.... you know... don't yell at the waiter/waitress before they serve your meal... LOL :bowrofl:

Mr.kenchan, I remember I ran into some sort of screen-shots about displaying those gauges on a Pioneer HU or something, but yes, it's freaking slow and even the user says it's useless :ugh2:

Regarding the GPS, googlemaps is very accurate and have free updates and traffic, I just don't use it because it eats up my data.. :ugh2:

I am driving a base Altima this time

At least it's not that Molysh!tBoooo

:icon18: :icon18: :icon18:

mr.alcheng- right, i think i saw the same picture of the pioneer HU. lol yah, if it's slow it's meaning less to me too.

so i was messing with my droidx and found the screen 'on' while charging.. so i think im ready to try this in my car soon. i need to wait until 6/15 to get my next phone... :excited:

Mr.kenchan, the android phone shouldn't turn off when in car mode or if there's a running program ie GPS, so don't worry about it...

Regarding the GPS program, are you deciding to use your droid as your GPS unit? If so, I will strongly suggest you the Sygic.

I am using it on my S-II now and I can only say good thing about it. The maps are update, 3-D buildings view where available, quick satellite lock-up.
The only draw back, is the location is bit off.

However, coming from Tomtom, and having tried Co-Pilot, I-Go and Navigon, I say Sygic is the best GPS program for android, maps are preloaded with your choices of cities/states, so you can save some spaces on your memory card.

If you want to see all the GPS software for Android, click this.

Those version does not have traffic because they are :p cracked but safe :p but you can purchase the retail version later on yourself.

Hope my CAD$0.02 helps! :tiphat:

My Z is not going to be ready for another 2-3 days, apparently the service manager and another head of the service department found out the canvas was the old one and the work that has to be done from day 1 wasn't done at all!!  I show a bit of annoyance to them but not too extreme since I still have to leave them a good mood to look after my Z... anyway, hope they'll do a good job this time. :ugh2:

How are everyone tonight?? :tiphat: :tiphat:

Actually I run the gauge setup where it's on my phone. The speed of the gauges is dependent on the bluetooth adapter you plug into the obdII port. Mine is a higher end one and the guages are pretty much instant. I use rpms and mph to see if there is a delay.

Hey Mr.ZMan8, do you mean the adapter on the HU?? Which one do you use??

hummm... mr.zman- now can you make that show up on your HU if you have a double din? i would prefer not to go through my smartphone, rather have a module that has video-outs.

I was talking about the adapter for bluetooth you plug into the OBDII port when you link to your smartphone.

I run the torque app on my galaxy S phone w/ OBDlink MX adapter.

I'm in the same boat, Pint, but at least you've started the mod process. I haven't done any mods to my Z, and I'm a newbie, too. :p

From what I've gathered, to get a better looking car with better handling, I need Swift Spec R + Stillen Sway + spacers. Some have strongly recommended Koni's. Are Koni's shocks, and why should I get them?

I think you can link it to cetain external devices. I would have to check into that though.

My optimal setup would be to have a car pc setup with a touchscreen in the cubby hole and display digital guages on there.

Everyone must be out doing something fun, it's quiet in here.

Mine is 9 minutes. 18 minutes total best part of my day.

No, I think I'm going to catch back up on debt sadly. Damn, growing up sucks.

Resist, Pint. Indulge, but know your limits. Debt is no fun. Just ask the country of Greece. :stirthepot: Notice my signature.

I think you need to get your first one out of the way so we can all enjoy it! What are you considering for the first?

So, what say you guys about the oil, needs to be drained a bit? Pics at links below.

kinda hard to tell. The second picture is pretty dark. In the first pic it seems pretty clear that your level is well above the max level line. I would drain/extract a little to be on the safe side pint. I know it's a pain, but better for the pressure on your oil pump and seals in the long run.

Just my $.02 worth though.
