Drove it to and from work today. Best 18 minutes of my day. I need to start taking the long way.

I feel ya. My commute is 25 minutes if I decide to stay at the speed limit.

Everyone must be out doing something fun, it's quiet in here.

kenchan 05-09-2012 08:27 PM

Fun? Just helping out my kid's homework. :icon17:

Nothing fun here. Just got my little guy to bed, then sent out my references. Guess I did a good job at the interview. too bad the hours suck... Would be a nightmare as far as child care goes. :shakes head:

Maybe a hot nanny will be in order?! :yum: :rofl2:

Pintsize725 05-09-2012 08:41 PM

I gotta say, I'm glad I don't have kids! Kudos to you guys for accepting the responsibility.

Gratz on the good interview Mr. GaleForce!

My wife and I waited 14 years to have a child. We wanted to be in a good place financially... I wouldn't trade the opportunity to grow with Mini GaleForce for anything! It's a blast.

I had the Z out for a quick run, made it down to two dots on the fuel gauge, had the warning light turn on, said approximately 40 miles remaining... Made it back to the gas station, then home before the rain came down  . Good news, this was my first fill up since my fuel senders have been replaced, all the lights lit up  bad news, it cost me $89 to fill up using 91 octane (getting ready for another Uprev).

Mr.GaleForce, fuel up the tank when you can, it's considered cheap for the gas price. LOL :icon17:

also, any recommndation for OBD2 scanner that has video out that i can display on the 7" HU?

Mr.kenchan, are you talking about those OBD-II scanner that can display gauges on the display of your HU or phone?? I was looking for those and can only found the bluetooth type and most reviews are saying they are freaking-slow thus useless...

Regarding the GPS program, are you deciding to use your droid as your GPS unit? If so, I will strongly suggest you the Sygic.

I am using it on my S-II now and I can only say good thing about it. The maps are update, 3-D buildings view where available, quick satellite lock-up.
The only draw back, is the location is bit off.

However, coming from Tomtom, and having tried Co-Pilot, I-Go and Navigon, I say Sygic is the best GPS program for android, maps are preloaded with your choices of cities/states, so you can save some spaces on your memory card.

If you want to see all the GPS software for Android, click this.

Those version does not have traffic because they are :p cracked but safe :p but you can purchase the retail version later on yourself.

Hope my CAD$0.02 helps! :tiphat:

My Z is not going to be ready for another 2-3 days, apparently the service manager and another head of the service department found out the canvas was the old one and the work that has to be done from day 1 wasn't done at all!!  I show a bit of annoyance to them but not too extreme since I still have to leave them a good mood to look after my Z... anyway, hope they'll do a good job this time. :ugh2:

How are everyone tonight?? :tiphat: :tiphat:

Mr.kenchan, I remember I ran into some sort of screen-shots about displaying those gauges on a Pioneer HU or something, but yes, it's freaking slow and even the user says it's useless :ugh2:

Regarding the GPS, googlemaps is very accurate and have free updates and traffic, I just don't use it because it eats up my data.. :ugh2:

I am driving a base Altima this time

At least it's not that Molysh!tBoooo
