It may be possible to cut a square out and weld in a threaded bung, you need to work with a very experienced welder. Unless you are a welder yourself. Aluminum is tricky and you have to make sure that welding it doesn't make it brittle. Hope that helps.

Good afternoon Alcheng! :)

Yes, my foot did kinda dominate that shot didn't it? But hey, it's only a 10 1/2 and that's pretty average isn't it? Isn't it?? :( :)

ahh...yah, i read there's no rear tow hook on the Z. i was thinking the strap-down hook would work (driver side rear), but later read that is not to be used for pulling.

i suppose if one crashes the car at a track, who cares....just pull and see wat happens. lol :icon17:

it's a good idea, or I just cut, and leave a hole with the tow hook appearing... I need to see exactly where it out on the bumper

rod- is this only for cosmetics? then yes, just make a bracket and mount it somewhere on the bumper.

It's true! :P hahaha
But my fear is smash the drivetrain :/

Kenman I'm not sure if a bracket could be wrapped around the bumper. I don't think just a plate bolted on the bumper would be strong enough?? I'm talking about the alum bumper under the bumper cover.

Fire 04-28-2012 04:46 PM

Happy you sux for living close to the beach LOL

We live about 15 minutes away and take advantage of the good weather as often as possible! We've got a big umbrella that I pitch and we hang out under it in our beach chairs with Nooks in-hand!

Don't worry tho: the Z goes NOWHERE near the beach! :wtf2:

Rod Saraiva 04-28-2012 04:49 PM

I'll see it and respond when solving... Thx!

there's plenty of room from the rear bumper to the differential....like maybe over 35cm. i dont think the tow hook would damage any part of the drivetrain if you got rear-ended. probably put a hole in your stock muffler can though. haha. :icon17:

we're talking about a tow hook for decoration, right? the rear bumper can probably hold it.
